Improve Mason home game experience discussion

MasonHoops scholarships, I like it. Have fans snap a selfie at the end of the game with the scoreboard behind them. If you're at all the games, you are entered into the drawing for a 1k scholarship, courtesy of MasonHoops. I'll bet we could get ten donors here to pony up $100 each. I'm good for my share. If we get more money we can give away multiple awards.

Who here knows how to set up a charity?

Give me cash, preferably all ones, and I'll handle the rest......

Suggestion for the AD: show us the contentious call replays. Offensive (and occasional defensive) highlights are great, but the audience would like to see the tape after fouls are called.

No one can ever second-guess a referee...

Maybe if refs can watch their horrendous gaffs in real-time then maybe they'll seek to improve? At least the refs would know when it's time for makeup call.

All I have ever said was Just. Win. Baby. Although I may have borrowed that line from somewhere ....

Anyway, all the other stuff is great, but it never trumps a winning team. Build it (a winning team) and they will come. (Oops, there I go again stealing lines from others. I've no originality, but the expressions work.)

And the Bank (or PatDome to us old-timers) had really been rocking there last couple of home games. It's been really great to feel the energy return.

This morning I watched the highlights of Dinkins and the Gonzaga College HS game. Their student section was better than ours.

I think we need to start recruiting student section fans. Offer a $1,000 scholarship to the best student section fan. We’ll be the first in the country to do it. They give scholarships for everything else - let’s start a trend.

They used to track student attendance when I was in the Platoon (2005-2010). At the end of each season they would "rank" the fans. Those that attended the most games (normally my friends and I) would then get "Platooner of the Year" where we'd get super cool swag.

My roommate and I got matching Nike Elite official team warmups, custom pint glasses celebrating each season, draw-string bags, etc., and there would be a free dinner social at the end of the season (normally at Brion's - RIP).

This, to my knowledge, was all thanks to Greg Kennedy. BRING IT BACK!

It would help if the digital ticketing system didn't crash on my way to UR game at EBA. Nervously waiting in line at ticket office with other season ticket holders is not how I like to spend the pregame! Bring back hard copy tickets!

The easiest way to fix that issue is to dump Ticket Master, or at least their insane requirement that you show a live web page of the ever changing QR code to get scanned in to the venue. All other ticketing services tell you to take a photograph of the electronic ticket "in case of network issues" because, well, brains...

Yeah it was new -- FWIW I thought it was really cool along with the other new things they rolled out with the lighting and smoke machines, gotta coach the students/band on when to stomp those metal bleachers in tune with the song.
