The risk is when you hire an older guy who has been to the top and may well have crested his personal hill. See Pat Kennedy at Towson and Rod Barnes at Georgia State just to name a couple from our recent past. The jury is still out on Jones as he is still playing with a team that was mostly recruited by the previous administration.

I hate that you don't recognize that Jones was different than the other guys you mentioned (and Hewitt). He didn't lose a big-time job because of a lack of on-court success. He won enough at UVa, just not enough to keep his job after it went public that he was banging a cheerleader.

Jones also paid his penance by going to AU, re-booting his personal life and proving that he was still a damn good coach.

It's just not the same as catching a failed P5 coach on his way down the food chain, like we did.

I hate that I jut realized the Redskins play the Eagles at 4:30 Saturday, which means the ending will overlap with the beginning the Mason game. I hate that this means I will most likely miss the first half of the Mason game. I hate even more that I am pissed over having to choose between two crappy teams.

I hate how the Academy Awards allows movies to manipulate the process. Movies that haven't even come out yet (this year American Sniper and Selma, but this isn't on them, there are always movies like this) can be eligible for Best Picture of the Year and the awards are about 8 weeks away. isn't the Academy's "year" for based on the calendar and not from April to March??? Tom, am I wrong?

I hate how often we lose at home. I hate that while i'll sit there watching the games I know at some point we're going to blow it. I hate that we have a team full of tweeners outside of Shevon and Porter. I hate it for Mayimba who cheers his heart out for the guys all game, he often look like he's playing the game in his seat. I hate that the studios don't realize DC is just as big of a market for art house movies as NY and LA are. I hate the calendar the awards season uses too.
