Great Season

To start at a lower level, or because he gets recruited over.

I hope that is not the case. That sounds like being a quitter to me. Why not work on conditioning, work on his own game, and return as a more solid player? It did appear that Gio's lower back bothered him at times—not sure what he can do about that aside from hopefully heal. Gio's defense was pretty good when he wanted it to be. He can certainly strengthen up his hand-work and be taught to jump a bit more and box out more effectively. Gio can be shown to not be so polite playing in the semi-circle. One must put in the work to do what one wants and succeed at it. Does Gio want to play and be a better player? If yes, and your health allows, then do it.

He had a good season but not that good..that's Hunter Dickinson money..

He needs to lose 20 pounds to get back to his ETSU playing weight, mature in his mental approach to the game(more mental than emotional), refine his post skills to recognize double and triple teams and expand his range to become a consistent 3 pt shooter.. if he chases the money to a P5..he will end up a bench warmer.

I want $1M, too. Can I get it? I don't know. Is it a possibility? Depends upon who wants to help me out.

Haynes is good but has limitations, especially against highly skilled, mobile forwards. Jaylen showed all season that he has well above average footwork and quickness for his size. He also showed that he has difficulty going up against long and wiry defenders with skill like vcu's.

Drop 15 – 20 pounds and reap the rewards with one more season at Mason. Move up to a P4 and he had better improve his mid-range and long-range shots, too. I'm not sure if Jaylen can bang as well with P4 talent as opposed to A10. Stay put Jaylen. Europe is not going anywhere any time soon.

not disagreeing totally, but it's worth noting that he was getting fouled like crazy on Sunday. when the long, wiry defenders are allowed to put their arms down over top of you and not get called for fouls when your arm hits theirs shooting under the basket, it makes it all but impossible to succeed against them. when he was able to use his body and get shots off with the defenders' arms straight up, he was scoring like he had the previous two games.

edit: example... arms coming down across haynes' arms on both shots (especially the 2nd one) -- not straight up at all...foul not called until it wasn't a shooting foul:
