Here's an idea. For students that attend more and more games, provide them reserved seats closer to the floor in the student section. The more games you attend, the higher up the list you get. Maybe make it two seats for you and a friend. And not for a single 'winner'. This is for any all students that say attend 5 or more games and go from there. The deeper you get in the season, the better the seats and they adjust game to game based on number of games attended. They need to bring this reward system back. At this point, nothing seems to be working to get students out, might as well try this next season. Have students swipe their student ID's at a kiosk or if that's too hard to setup....then get an excel spreadsheet printout of the students when the ushers scan their student id's when entering the arena after each game and keep track of it in a database.
Free GM gear and the dinner with Tony would be awesome for students if they accumulate enough points. Have the dinner down in the big room in the basement of the JC and put together some highlight videos and you have a nice dinner function to reward the students. That's how you build loyalty bitches.
Other than my warm-ups, the pint glasses are my premier souvenirs. Although now that I think about it, I shouldn't have two 2007-08 glasses...probably accidentally took my roommates glass home at the end of the year. Need to give him a call..Still got my card. I loved when they did those dinners and freebies for us.
I like the thought but we don’t need more empty seats down low. Here's an idea. For students that attend more and more games, provide them reserved seats closer to the floor in the student section. I like the idea as well however it would be hard to implement in a true General Admission section.
And, what's the difference between empty seats and seats filled with dance team coaches, etc., that click on their iPad keyboards all game?
The first few rows need to be filled with active FANS that show game interest.
There were two issues with the noise makers: 1. We could have gotten a technical for those and, 2. They were in Richmond colors, who we were playing at the time. Shutting that down was a good move.At the last home game one of the vendors was giving away some inflated noise makers and someone came up and told him that he had to put them away. I don't know if it was against some NCAA rule or something specific to EBA, but I wouldn't be surprised if the hired goons shake you down for something like that.
Over break my kids love to sit with me in the general admission section. They want to sit close. We go to the second row and security tries to chase us away. Maybe they are being helpful but they tell us we won’t be able to see and then I don’t know if they are calling me a perv as they say all I will see will be the women dancing in front of us.The first few rows need to be filled with active FANS that show game interest.

In the NIL era we need to take every opportunity to gain revenue or at least have them pay for free swag.Gilligan hats, Hawaiian shirts.... they trying to turn us into U of Hawaii?
How about a Green Mason t-shirt that simply says George Mason Basketball across the front and no sponsors on the back or anywhere on the shirt!?
No, this is the first time I remember a bonus like this.Do they do this every year for season ticket holders? Also, what's the common consensus on suggestions for future swag?
