You forgot Xavier Johnson.....kid can play.

We have 4 players right now: XJ, Greene, Miller, AJ...that’s our problem. Other teams go like 6 or 7 deep and are fine because all 6 or 7 can play/contribute, those who have a difference maker in that 6 do more than fine. But we don’t even have a starting 5 right now, let alone a dominant player at any position.

8 players in the box score....for 87 points.

4 contributed 7 pts.

The other 4 got the 80. And surely 1 of those wont score 39 every night....

Agree here....gonna be a long rest of the season. The inexplicable demise of Mar and Calixte is crazy....they look awful. Its embarrassing for them and the team.

Yeah, Calixte did a much better job on Golden last year than he did in this game. 10 minutes, 4 PFs basically. Granted, we kind of lay our bigs out to dry with our poor perimeter defense (it also doesn't help that both Mar and Calixte love trying to go over the back when they don't have position), this is also a game where we actually missed Hartwell, who did a great job defending Gilyard in our home win.

This is a game where we literally had no one who could match up with Gilyard or Golden at all and the just murdered us.

I feel really bad for Mar, because he showed so much promise his freshman season and then it all just imploded and now only a black hole exists that sucks up our team whenever it's on the floor.

"I love coaching this team," head coach Dave Paulsen said. "It's a heck of a fun team to compete with and cheer for. The way they came back from adversity, losing Justin and not having Jamal, and being undermanned, they battled their rear ends off. We're not where we want to be right now, and some of that is in our control and some of it isn't. But these guys took some positive steps forward today in the areas which they could control. If they keep doing that, we're going to have the chance to be a good team. It's just going to take a bit longer than we wanted because of the road blocks which have been thrust in front of us."

Javon with the best single game performance I’ve watched since Sherrod on Valentine’s Day. Shame we couldn’t do anything to support what he was doing. Looked like the shooter he was billed as tonight. Love him coming to the sideline to get our geriatric fan base off their rears.

I don’t have a problem with that quote other than to say that the players not named Javon, Jordan, Xavier, and AJ have not only not gotten better, they’ve gotten worse as the season has gone on.

We gave up 97 points! We tried, so that makes everything okay. I just look at his quote as yet another in a long string of excuses that are well documented on the boards. I would rather he say something to the effect, "I haven't done my job. I haven't prepared the team for any success. I hereby tender my resignation." I understand it's little extreme for some here, but probably welcomed by others. He is NOT the solution to our problems. Just my 2 cents.

If i was him, I would be celebrating everytime my paycheck came in the mail. Failing at your job and making more then the president of the country. Must be nice for him.

https://richmondspiders.com/news/20...piders-torch-nets-in-win-at-george-mason.aspx:

"George Mason sent the Spiders to the foul line in an attempt to extend the game, but the Spiders, who entered the game second in Division I in free-throw percentage, made their final 12 free throws, six each from Jake Wojcik and Jacob Gilyard. Richmond finished the game shooting 79 percent (26-33) from the foul line and 67 percent from the field (33-49), its best field-goal percentage in a game since shooting 69 percent on field goals in an 85-74 win over UMKC on November 25, 2008.
