I’m tired of all the excuses. If Paulsen didn’t suck, he would’ve prevented those guys from suffering season-ending injuries.
I understand your point, but, I also see what other people are saying as well. On the injuries something seems strange. Have we experienced more injuries than the average team? if, not why does it seem to affect us worse than other teams?
It really seems like we have had more than our fair share recently.

If we do experience more injuries than expected, why? Is he recruiting guys that have known issues and he doesn’t see it or ignores it? (Reuter comes to mind there) Is it because the guys are on the smaller side? Is he not letting guys heal long enough with minor injuries because we are pushing guys to over perform to make up for being less talented and they are becoming major injuries? Is he practicing in some way that leads to this? Is he just the unluckiest coach in D1?

Lots of questions.

It feels to me like the law of averages coming back around on us finally. Felt like we had a 3 year stretch from after Shevon left where we didn’t have any serious injuries. Might be more to it on strength/conditioning but our training team has historically been pretty solid.

Phil Martelli had a lot of injuries the last few seasons...it's probably why he was fired, to be honest.

Agree on the strength and conditioning coach, Handy is considered very good at what he does, and innovative.

Grayer also had a foot issue. Kier and mar did too. Maybe we need to talk to Adidas?? Dont remember this many foot issues when we were with Nike.

I brought this up last year and was told I was wrong. I am concerned about our level of injury and how unable we are to rise above it. People who follow a lot more teams a lot closer than I do said I was wrong, and grasping for reasons to criticize DP (which is interesting because I was still firmly in the cautiously optimistic camp last season).

Maybe we do not suffer more injuries, or if we do, it is not DP's or his staff's fault. But poor roster management is the reason we can't survive these injuries and is a primary job of the head coach.

I’ve always been partial to Nike and never found a pair of Adidas that fit my feet comfortably, but I assume it’s not the shoes ... otherwise wouldn’t we be hearing similar issues with the other Adidas schools?

I have big and wide feet so I never find a Nike or Adidas pair to fit my feet.

My feet are so wide that I was asked to join the circus. Half kidding.

Adidas makes trash products but not "fracture your foot" level trash. It's clear our med team is letting guys back at it too early. Anyone watching Kier knew he wasn't ready, and Boyd was practically playing in a cast last year.

I won't speculate on whether anything was done improperly regarding Kier's injury. But, when Darren Tarver had a stress fracture in his left foot during the 2001-02 season, Mason shut him down for the season after playing in just 3 games - https://www.cleveland19.com/story/7...nds-local-basketball-products-playing-career/:

"Tarver, a transfer from Wabash Valley (Ill.) Community College, averaged 18 points in three games for the Patriots before a stress fracture in his left foot ended his season. He scored 29 points in the Patriots' season-opening victory over Niagara."

Is UMass the only team in the A10 that we have a winning record?
