I guess I just don't follow the boards as closely as you do, so humor me on this one. Can you identify three posters here that have gotten "too cocky" with the 6-1 start? How about two of them? One????

Maybe it's a terminology thing but I can't name a single one.

I am not talking about posters but more about the bigger "us" as in the entire mason basketball community (team, coaches, fans, etc.) 6-1 is great and everyone is happy with that. But the season is young and the PLAYERS need to keep the same focus or it could turn into a Fordham situation from last year, that is all I was saying. I don't follow individual posters comments much but as GMUYoda said, you hardly ever just comment on Mason basketball but instead attack other people for having opinions.

The coach and the players seem to have the right focus. They seem to have learned from last year that expectations are meaningless.

I agree with you. I will be the first to admit that I am pleasantly surprised with how we have played so far this year.

I've been known to correct grammar. But typically only for those that constantly crap on PLAYERS by name while hiding behind the interwebz. Just because they're on scholarship they count as people too. But I do it directly at least and not passive aggressively like a chick.

Alright, well let's all celebrate being 6-1 and hopefully we will be 7-1 after tonight and playing for a championship in a couple days.

I know the opponents we have played so far are not the strongest but the biggest positive I see is that was are 6-1 and have a grand total of 5 minutes played by a senior(arguably our best player) on the team.
