GIVING DAY 2023
It's like we show up at the arena and expect the other team to give us wide open shots/layups because we can't figure out how to operate an offense any other way.

There's no excuse to be this bad. We were a better team a year ago. Next season is going to be brutal.

The more Hewitt puts his imprint on this program, the worse it is for everyone.

Our players' talents are being drawn down into their coach's vortex of suck. Resistance, like our defense, is futile.

I haven't had this kind of attitude towards a George Mason team in my 15 years of fandom, just so consistently bad in so many areas

This is easily as little as I've watched a GMU game actually broadcast into my upstate NY home. GMU will be an afterthought nationally after a couple more years of Hewitt. We're not even halfway done with his tenure. Ugh.

No surprises, unfortunately. The final score will not be indicative of how lopsided this game really was. We look completely lost. And it won't be the last time...........

Hewitt is credited with recruiting all but three players .
Seriously?

Wright
Williams
Allen
Edwards
Gray
Arledge

More than 3

Granted Okaloji and Copes have been huge misses.... no argument from me there...

Hopefully okaloji will be gone next year... maybe copes will "disappear" Williams will be gone, thank god...

I firmly believe this team will be better next year...

I don't think Hewitt is the greatest coach in the world. ... but get tired of everything being blamed on him

Flipping through channels, I happened to see an energized, aggressive (and terribly undermanned) ODU team hanging in at vcu.

Their coach? Jeff Jones.

Now I would've been sick if we had hired Jones -- for a bunch of reasons that have nothing to do with basketball -- but ODU is another perfect example of how a team reflects the attitude of its coach.

Jones has come in and instilled an approach that they're not going to make excuses for lack of depth, size or talent. He's simply doing the best he can with what he's been given.

ODU has maybe 2-3 guys who would even be rotation players for us, but they're probably gonna beat us this season.

I'll take two CAA coaches over Hewitt right now -- Coen and Shaver. And I bet having either guy on our sideline and magically our "talent" level goes way up.

How? There is not a single recruit coming in right now where we can see "Oh, thank god so and so is coming next year he'll make us better." If we can't figure out how to run an effective offense with the guards that we have this year, we won't be able to next season. We MIGHT be better defensively...then again, we'll be relying on freshman and Paul Hewitt's defensive "schemes".

Newsflash, Arledge isn't on the team anymore. You should try to keep up.

And while Larranaga originally recruited both Gray and Edwards, Hewitt had to re-recruit both players. Neither participated in even one practice under Larranaga.

So yes, all but 3 of these guys are Hewitt's. And if you think this team is going to get better next season, you're just not paying attention.

I'm done with this. I'll be back in 2016, since there's no chance our cheap, clueless AD will do anything about it before then.
