Best game of this young season by far! Everything was clicking shorty after the first media timout. That's my one criticism, though: Mason began this home game allowing Mercer to set the pace and tone. Fortunately, our boys met and then exceeded the Bears' intensity.

Look what Mason can do when you can count turnovers on one hand! It looks like today's game was a big growth moment. Chemistry is gelling. Defensive intensity is contagious. Shots are more sharp. Confidence builds from this foundation.

Good coach! Damn good coach!

I'm still keeping my expectations low for A-10 play.

I love the direction Coach Paulson has the team going and think he's got the sum of the team playing better then their individuaual parts. It's still a really, really young and green team though and they're going to be playing better programs in the A-10 then we're seeing in the OOC. Programs that also have good coaching with older and more experienced players.

So far my expectations are exceeded as are most fans I think, but I'm still saying reasonable expectations are year 3 considering how little CDP had to start with.

Yep, absolutely. My goal for this year is still to get out of the play in game. If we can get to .500 I'll be thrilled. Anything above that and I'll be ready to extend Paulsen a lifetime contract.

I'm not even expecting much until year 4 when the recruiting classes balance out. I think it may be one step forward, one step back again next year without Marquis and Jalen. Unless Goanar and Jayvon really are big day 1 contributors.

Jayson and Goanar are going to contribute greatly out of the gate. Temara will develop some of he keeps getting good minutes, but Relvao has a ton to learn and no one knows what Dixon can bring.

Considering, however, the contributions of this season's freshmen, I have tremendous trust in the quality of what is coming in and how it will be managed/developed.

I am cautiously optimistic. I think we might be slightly better than expectations - but I am happy at seeing the defensive aggressiveness that includes halftime adjustment. Which is oddly refreshing.

Don't forget about A.J. Wilson who is red-shirting this year.

I think we'll be fine at positions 1-4 next year (even without Moore)...the big question mark is the 5, especially when Temara gets into foul trouble or needs a breather.

With one more made free throw in regulation against Mount Saint Mary's, we'd be 7-2 and right where I predicted we'd be after 9 games.

I picked us to lose at PSU. If we win that game, we'll have an excellent chance to roll into A-10 play at 10-3 and riding a 9-game winning streak.

Regardless, just avoid a letdown and take care of the 3 remaining games in which we'll be favored, and we finish the OOC schedule 9-4.

I think everyone here would've gladly signed up for that prior to the season.

Well yeah, our guys are more experienced (Otis, Marquise, Jalen, Jaire), and we have depth at every position.
