If we still have only 9 scholarship players two years from now, I will be as agitated as you. But I don’t see that happening because we have a very good coach who knows what he’s doing far better than any of us.

It’s frustrating because some of our fans expect this turnaround to happen immediately and that’s just not the way our coach has chosen to do it.

Why not just wait and see instead of assuming Year 4 is going to be a letdown 11 months before it starts?

Heck, we’re only 8 games into Year 3. Lot of pages still to write in this season’s story.

I think we can all recognize that Troy Temara and Daniel Relvao were big misses by this coaching staff, but that happens everywhere. At least Temara and Relvao recognized it themselves and left rather than stick around and suck up two scholarships for another 3 years.

I said this before, and I'll say it again here, Newman's transfer is a big mystery to me (plenty of minutes available this season at the 2 and 3 for someone like Newman), but I'm guessing he wanted to be closer to home (transferred to Oakland) and didn't see himself ever starting here.
