Westhead teams had no problem parting the night before and scoring 140 pts. It was the defense that they forgot to play.

believe it was a 5 man class with 2 staying.. Bynum, Jameer Jr, Hart left... Moore and Brown stayed. Lange added Knox then transferred after last year and is at Coppin St.. I could be dead wrong but through limited research that is what I got

Bynum played his freshman year under Martelli. Really weird but the St Joe's website has Lange coaching that year when every other source has Martelli.

Tough to find hard data on this sort of thing because "committed" is almost meaningless and difficult to measure but that's what we're arguing. Happy to take the L if I'm wrong but it's pretty common to see incoming head coaches retain zero incoming recruits because those guys aren't tied down. Notable exceptions are guys like Cox at Rhody, but he was hired specifically *because* he was the lead recruiter of a really good class and he could keep them there.

None of the websites match which is part of my problem.

Mason's website is completely wrong on the rosters from Hewitt's last season and Paulsen's first season too.

I think the issue isn't necessarily that he managed to keep any of the incoming freshmen, it's that he lost Porter, Lockett (who had already red-shirted the prior season), and Jackson too, as well Holloway, who left after 4 games, which is how you get a 6 freshman class and STILL are two scholarship players short (three if you count the fact that Relvao came in hurt).

Regarding the suspensions, I wonder — given the climate we are in right now — if the players violated COVID rules. It just takes one player, coach or trainer testing positive to trigger another quarantine lockdown, so it is possible that Dave sent a message that there are no exceptions. I'm not one prone to speculation, but an infraction like that although serious, selfish and careless would be a lot better than stealing pillows from a hotel or jacking someone's credit card.

I've heard nothing but rumors so I won't post them publicly but the rumors I did hear were not COVID rules related. So who knows?

Good grief. I'm not sure if it's scheme or ability, but our bigs leave our guards leave our guards out to dry on off-ball screens ALL THE TIME.

I think part of hte reason I feels like our guards are always getting torched is that they're getting rung up on off-ball screens and there's just NO hedge from the screener's man.

Watch Oduro and Wilson stand there while their man sets screens (off-ball, not on ball) and watch. I guess they want them back as rim protectors, when makes sense when you've got a shotblocker like Wilson, but I think it makes our guards look worse on D than they are.
