Down 32-4 was hurtful but Hewitt atleast made a half time adjustment and made AC run point. I think we cut the lead to single digits in the second half but ran out of gas.

Having AC at point was, oh, 15 games too late. I could have gone in at halftime and told AC to run the point. It's not rocket science. Yes, the second half run was nice and all, but the game never was really in question.

We had two opportunities to make it a one possession game. Vaughns and Arledge both missed threes to bring it with in three. Yes, we were down early but if we're going to break down games by just individual halfs, I still would consider being down versus a D3 school much more embarrassing than vcu's hot start in Richmond.

The fact it was against a school we all hate and in the CAAT makes is much worse to me. Losing to a D3 school in November isn't even close to embarrassing to getting dominated by vcu twice in a month (they dominated us at the Siegel Center that year, too.)

From the A10 Basketball Forum:

"GMU was down 43-33 at the half to Lebanon Valley. Seriously? GTFO of the A10 if they lose."

Some dude in a basketball forum does not carry more weight than being dominated by a rival twice in a month.

Rival or not, vcu makes the tourney and was playing in Richmond. No excuse to be down 10 at home to LEBANON VALLEY COLLEGE.

It's just a difference in playing a rival in a game to determine if you keep playing or go home or a game against a non-rival in November. Apples and oranges.

I realize that Jalen Jenkins only played 8 minutes due to foul trouble, but how do you explain just 2 offensive rebounds with 30 missed FGA's (20-50)?

I can try to explain it. Temara was Jenkins replacement off the bench. He played 25 minutes and grabbed 1 whole rebound in that time.

"Extreme" is putting it nice. I have an "extreme" fear of being in a dark room with a hungry pit bull. My hatred for vcu is beyond that. I need to become more apathetic towards vcu in order for my hatred to become "extreme."

So, only the "5" is expected to get offensive rebounds in Coach Paulsen's system? BTW, does anyone know why Kam & Tate did not play in the blowout loss?

Temara was out of position almost every time the ball came off the rim. He also was stripped a few times trying to secure rebounds.

Also, yes, Pablo, it appears Paulsen doesn't want his players crashing the offensive glass.
