Game 4: GMU (2-1) vs Central Michigan (1-2) on Wednesday, November 13, at 7:00 PM.

Just wanted to pop back in and say, as frustrated as we all are by botching a winnable game, Central Michigan gave Marquette all it could handle as well. Credit to them, they’re better than the brand name suggests and I’d be shocked if they’re not a legit contender for the MAC title.

Hopefully our staff is using these first four games to figure out some stuff regarding the rotation and playing combinations. I still believe in the overall talent but there needs to be significant improvement in chemistry and execution between now and March for Mason to be a factor in the A-10 race.

Kenpom stats still has us 4th in the A10 (97th in D-1), behind vcu, Dayton, and Loyola.

37th in defensive effectve fg% and 38th in offensive rebounding %.

Last night was so frustrating. Really low attendance. Team was flat. Bad coaching. Ugh!

Woody nails two three's to start the game and the rest of the game was a bricklaying class.
Haynes has happy feet and moves like he is on speed - Slow down big guy - go watch some Jai Lewis tapes.
Gio shows signs of being a dominant big guy, but tonight he let smaller guys successfully attack him
KD's energy is nice, but shut the F' up and walk away - and stop driving and dishing to nobody.
Maddux is our best shooter, but still disappears for long stretches- and was stone cold last night.
Why is Beggs getting so much PT? He's 1 -14 from three, and no help on defense. He's a freshman coach.
Don't know what to think about O'Conner - Not contributing much on either end. Needs a role.
What crime did Ball commit?
Anderson is consistently inconsistent. But he can shoot, and he needs to play (and play hard) more.
Billups was the lone bright spot - all hustle and grit. I love that guy, and it was a shame his great game ended with that pass.

And since I'm bitching about everyone and everything, Doc Nix needs to shake up the song mix. Play some of the old songs, or learn some new ones. And they should ditch the singers until they get better mikes.

And get off my yard.
