True, but Coastal Carolina is the #5 team in the country right now. Using the RPI to determine how good a team is this early is misleading either way.

Nice to see DP switch to zone to adjust #4. IMO, that was the difference in the game. #4 wasn't as dominate against our zone and their 10 point lead went away. Probably going to need to play more zone as we go through the season.

Another game for Mar where he doesn't play like a freshman.
Best part of the night for me was seeing Jollay at halftime.

We’re gonna play to the level of our opponent all year I think. At least we’ll get some exciting games out of it. Can’t see us blowing anyone out or getting blown out, except maybe SLU which has a monster size advantage. Or against Richmond because we hammer them no matter the circumstance.
That’s ridiculous. We just had a nice come from behind OT win, and the only comment you can come up with is that? No thoughts on the game?
I guess you can’t be critical of a Mason player without being labeled a hater? It’s not like I’m rooting against the kid, but if someone isn’t playing well, are we not allowed to say so? It’s a frickin’ message board.

Very happy to see AJ contribute last night!!! I don’t think we will need all three bench guys putting up big numbers every night, but with only 3 to choose from, one will have to give us solid minutes/numbers. Tonight that was definitely AJ.
I was trying to watch the game at a party, so I was only half paying attention, but I was really surprised to see so few shots from Kier with the amount of minutes he played. Can anyone explain it?

You can be critical but you were treating him like Danny Dixon the first three games. "Where's the Kenner League all star?" and all your other jabs at the kid. Bottom line is your wrong about this kid like very very wrong. And you're going to eat it.

Can we all just stop declaring ourselves right or wrong and judging all of our players after 4 games of a season? Or after any 1 game for that matter. If any player is better than we expected, won’t we all be happy about it? I don’t think anyone on here desires to be right more than they desire to have Mason win.
After last night, I also don’t think any of our players are off to a disappointing start at all. That says a lot about them, our coaching staff, and their preparation.
As a team, it’s going to be one hell of a grind this season. We easily could be 0-4 right now. At least we know our guys will fight till the very end. I think we will learn a whole lot more after these two games in Cancun.

I have to say, I was impressed as hell. I mean, this year is still going to be a struggle, but it's hard not be blown away by the young kids.
I was blown away by the changes made at Patriot Center too. Don't have time this year, but may have to make time next year to buy good season tickets. Program deserves it.
Actually appreciated the better lighting the best, if I didn't imagine it. Was pretty sauced.

Louisville had a monster size advantage as well...
Kier took so few shots, because CSUN was playing a packd line 1-3-1 zone all night and cutting off his drives to the basket (he also still only takes 3 point shots only when he's wide open). And then he picked up an ankle injury, which slowed him down at the end of the game. But he did end the game with 5 assists.
It's the same problem Boyd had most of the night...he just couldn't find any space to get to the basket.
Love the drive of this team and the inertia to get over the finish line with a win. As a fan, it has been great entertainment. Although, it would be nice to get a lead and keep that cushing througout the game.
Can't say enough about AJ and Mar's role yesterday. Just looking at the box score this morning and noticed Mar quitely had 8 offensive boards.

AJ's cousin sat beside us last night.... lets say she was out her seat a ton. She did tell me he hadn't been feeling well the past week so there's that.
I'd love to hear what her vertical leap was when she jumped out of her seat.
Only about a 4.7 foot reach. Has some work to do but the genes are there
