I drove to Pittsburgh yesterday and various vcu fans were happy that this rivalry has come back. In addition, some of them said Moore should have been first team and Paulsen COY.

While he did mention he needs offensive work....maybe just maybe.....if he can get healthy over the off season...he might be more serviceable than we think.

Man - that was a tough loss. I really thought we were going to win 5 min into the second half. Just a couple missed calls and big shots on their part when they needed it. All in all, I couldn't be happier with this season. I'm confident Dave will bring us back. Next year will be really interesting.

I saw that too. I don't know how much to trust that, by if he can give us solid defense and rebounding and about 7 ppg on the other side, we could have something.

Man if someone had said in October that come March 10th I'd be dissapointed because we lost a game to vcu that we easily could have won in the A10 quarter finals after winning 20 games I'd have laughed at them. The biggest downer is that for all the work, hustle, and heart that Marquise put in this year a player like that deserves nothing less than a national title before he hangs it up. Have a feeling next year may be one step forward and one step back. The year after that is the year. But hey, this year has been a great step in getting the interest back on the fans part.

Now that it's the slow season on the boards though I fully expect a really unfriendly discussion about Mason football to start within two days. Let the bullshit begin.

Honestly, the fan thing is right... I have my collection of Final Four bobble heads and doc nix in my office and everyone always says, "oh cool, you went to George Mason? They went to the Final Four a few years ago right?" This year I was like yeah, but we probably have one of the best guards in the country no one knows about and a team that fights hard every night in the A10... one foot in front of the other, and we'll get there... we have a history which counts for something and will help get us back to prominence..

Tough loss and yes a letdown when we played tough throughout. But it's a let down I am happy to have because as mentioned many times here before we are in the right direction and Dave Paulsen deserves a bonus and a full body oil massage by a bevy of pro-sports cheerleaders

I was at the game. The refs were all over the place, called it tight at moments then loose whenever they wanted. The A10 needs an upgrade on refs, I rarely see these inconsistencies watching P5 games.

Lost in this game was the fact that Relvao was a significant defensive presence when he was in. Mo Allie Cox could not get over Relvao and never got a clear, easy shot against him. Relvao was aggressive and did not look overwhelmed or scared at all (which I can't say about a couple of other freshmen).

He also hit two free throws and finished on a bucket to get 4 points.

Baby steps but his few minutes in this game showed me some nice spirit and potential. Like others have said we don't need him to be a 16 and 11 guy. If he gives us half that, it could prove the difference this team will desperately need next yer.

I don't think we've given enough appreciation to how well Tillman (and their other bigs) were neutralized. The most damage he did was to Will Wade's sanity.

As much glamour as the vcu team has built after their final four run (upgraded arena, practice facility, top 100 recruits, high paid coach) they should be nervous about us. As little as we have compared to them at this moment we were right there with them this season. We had control of most that game and they edged is bc they had more seniors who made the plays needed at the end of the game. Just take a look at their boards, some of them are saying good things about us. They know what is about to come, meet your maker! Good times are here, let's enjoy the ride.

Indeed! Blew out Davidson yesterday and looked very good today. They're going to be a tough out in the NCAAs.

Looking at their roster, Martin & Iverson are their only seniors. EC Mathews is listed as a junior.
