I didn't agree with everything Dave did all year long but I want to make it clear that he absolutely squeezed every single drop he could have out of this roster and if you don't agree you're just wrong. The talent gap between us and some of the better teams in the A10 is dramatic. I can't wait to see what he does with another couple recruiting cycles.

Talk about getting water from a rock.

Our margin of error was so thin against better/older/talented teams, yet this team worked their asses off just about every night and showed they could play.

We're almost there........

Feel like crying I love this group of guys so much. Incredible poise and fight all season long. Too much talent on vcu, starters looked exhausted at points, and some bad luck with a couple officiating sequences did us in.

I didn't agree with everything Dave did all year long but I want to make it clear that he absolutely squeezed every single drop he could have out of this roster and if you don't agree you're just wrong. Congrats on the 20-win season. Paulsen absolutely has you going in the right direction. Next years tournament in DC should be crazy. Mason and vcu will both be top 4 and have a great fan presence. Im looking forward to it. Lots of things to be proud of this year.

Thanks for the kind words, but there's no way this is a top 4 team next year without Moore and Jenkins (unless a miracle happens at the center position).

I think we'll be right around a 7 or 8 seed again getting pummeled by vcu for the 10th time in a row in a postseason tournament. Maybe we'll pay you guys back in two years.

The entire game changed direction after the double no call that was so egregious the clearly-vcu-supporting commentators couldn't believe it. That kind of momentum shift that late in a tight game is everything. You will never know and can never know, but I honestly believe that one call - even without all of the other obvious return calls/no-calls in the second half - WAS the game.

Get in your time machine, replay the game from that moment, but the refs call the foul and Boyd hits just one of the two, and I'd bet my house we win this one in a tight last-minute free throw battle. Still thrilled with the season, but I would have rather it ended with vcu beating us than the officials beating us. vcu legitimately took it to us in the first two meetings. Paulsen out coached and our guys out hustled enough to win this one

Have a feeling next year may be one step forward and one step back. The year after that is the year. But hey, this year has been a great step in getting the interest back on the fans part.

Now that it's the slow season on the boards though I fully expect a really unfriendly discussion about Mason football to start within two days. Let the bullshit begin.

A lot of questions to be answered, especially on the front line. I can't imagine we're going to be too effective on offense unless something major happens (like a transfer), or a miracle improvement from Temara and/or Relvao in the offseason. Will AJ Wilson or Goanar Mar be able to come in and start right away at the 4? And if not, if we're going to stick to a 4-guard small ball lineup (Otis, Boyd, Grayer, Kier, Relvao probably), we have got to become a much more efficient shooting team. A lot of work in the offseason for our shooting guards.

We'll see. But I'd be really surprised if we won more than 9 games in conference next year.

All season the guys had to face other guys who were taller, stronger, and faster but we had the most important advantage and that was HEART and an unyielding effort every day. We are Jalen brothers and sisters and the struggle was real but they never quite on one another. It will take time but Otis and Jaime and the other fellas will keep the heart going. The prediction at the beginning of the season was we would fall flat on our faces and yet we scratched and clawed our way to do what no other team in previous years came close to doing. We're good. GOMASON!
