Two things. Number one, their guards are like a million times better at closing out on shooters than we are. Number two, when the balk goes into the post against UVA, it’s loke a black hole.

If we are going to play oackline, we’ve got to go with a longer lineup and our guards have to be a lot less predictable in how and when they collapse.

Calixte doesn't go that far up court when he hedges. With Reuters lack of any speed he shouldn't hedge at all.

Its a weird way they hedge anyway, because they fake a trap but then dont and have to recover. I'd like to see them try a trap or two on occasion and try to force a turnover.

That said when Reuter was quicker (not that he was ever quick, but quicker), he would recover faster. Calixte has done a really good job at getting faster at it, as well as defending one on one in the post. I'm glad that he will have a healthy Mar and Miller next to him next year. Anything Reuter could give would be a plus too but who knows what his condition will be.
