Got a gut feeling Paulsen will laminate his stature here by taking this team 4 games and winning this tournament. Has that ever happened in the A10?

Xavier in 2004 and 2006.
vcu in 2015 (vcu was the 5th seed).
Duquense in 2009 came close, going from a seven seed to the finals and losing to Temple.
Here is the slightly easier path:
Rhode Island, who is one of two A10 teams to have beaten vcu, wins against La Salle and knocks vcu off for us in the quarters. We beat URI in the semis. On the other side of the bracket, SLU makes a run through the tournament, knocking off both Davidson and Dayton and it's 5th vs. 6th for a chance to punch our ticket. I know we crapped our pants in the first half against them, but I like our chances on a neutral court against SLU and their bad shooting.
The hard way is this goes mostly chalk and we have to plow through both vcu and Davidson in order to win.
Either way, it's a longshot, but anything can happen in Brooklyn.
