We beat that Umass recap video - https://t.co/hQAEbICsKN

Based on this interview with Air Grayer, doesn’t seem like his injury is too serious. When he’s shooting well and crashing the glass well, it makes everyone else’s job easier.

We also asked DP about going small-ball to close out games and also why we’ve faced so much zone this year. He said we’ve gotten better attacked man D and I can’t say I disagree. Watch above, enjoy! We’ll be down in Richmond this Wednesday, let us know if you’re going too #beatVCU

Check your mic levels. You guys on the court were OK, Paulsen was louder than you were. And then the Grayer interview was really quiet. I had to turn up the volume to hear him.

Sound needs to be boosted, besides that good vid.

Can't believe people aren't a little ticked at that performance lol. I thought the boards would be a bit more hostile after one of the ugliest second halves I have ever seen. We looked like we were playing against Iva's defense when we were actually playing against two walk ons and 5 weak starters. If Paulsen can please tell them the game doesn't stop once we make a basket they could get back and not allow an automatic layup like they do almost every time late in games.

Are our walk ons as good as there's ? The big man football player was fun to watch. You could tell he hasn't played at this level but he looked pretty darn good. Better than 0 who had to be about 2-8 on shots within 4 feet
Wrong, LaSalle was the worst 2nd half.

The weekly recap is up! Check it out here: http://giantkiller.co/2018/02/26/2366/

I dug into the small lineup that we've discussed here:

Now that we’ve talked about the fun stuff, let’s address the elephant in the room. Mason has blown gigantic leads in three consecutive games, and I’ve griped on twitter that I think it’s partially related to going small down the stretch. Paulsen has taken Calixte and AJ off the floor, which leaves Goanar to defend the post, with about four to six minutes left in the past several games. This lineup has a lot of trouble getting stops and keeping the opponent off the boards. Let’s look at the score, minute mark, and what happened after we went small down the stretch for the last three games:

For those who were there Saturday, did you notice the stare from Hines after he hit that prayer before the shot clock buzzer near the end of regulation? I get being excited, but he just went into full-on Undertaker mode focused directly to our bench.

I hadn't detected a lot of bad blood in the game, other than Coach McCall being insane, but a stare like that during years when Pearson/Morrison were on this team would have probably led to something...

Morrison's four 3 year old kids who walked from their housing in Potomac would have kicked Hines in the shin after that PAB move. UmassBoards say that might have been his only jump shot made in his career at UMASS

I saw that even on the video feed. That was an intense stare right at our guys. You would have thought he won a big championship.

Similar to Copes's 8 foot game winner against I forget which team? I think everyone at the time thought that, a, they couldn't believe that pass was made and, b, Copes actually nailed that shot.

Kenpom has Mason by 3
Rpiforecast has Mason by 2.3

Should be a "Wings" game. UMass has the worst defensive efficiency in conference-only games (kenpom)--Mason is 9th. Also UMass has given up over 80 pts in each of their last 8 games (Mason needs only 70 for a free order of wings at Glory Days).

Well, I was right about it being a Wings game, but only because it went into overtime.

Mr. Reuter and his son Jack had an excellent time celebrating the buzzer beater by Boyd!
