The missed foul shots still bothers me. Why can’t we hit 90% of our foul shots? Isn’t there a correlation as far as doing something simple and winning? https://www.ncaa.com/stats/basketball-men/d1/current/team/150 - vcu ranks in the top for making foul shots. They’re currently on pace for a top 4 finish. Tony Skinn needs to ask hard questions this offseason like how can we end the drought which has lasted since 2011?!

The Dayton win notwithstanding, this has been a "social" season since the hamburger flippers from Richmond beat us at home. Since then, we win an occasional game at home to keep the Gold Room full, but otherwise, we have been mired in mediocre play. Today was no different than the other 8 losses since vcu (with the exception of the Loyola blowout) - we are good enough to make it close, but just don't have the talent or the will to play 40 mins of solid basketball.

I'm still content with the season we've had. We've got a new coach with ties to the U, whom I hope we can keep. We got our biggest win at home ever. We have a couple blue chip freshmen. Possibly a couple solid returners. One monster #5, I can't wait to see play, who we should have for a few seasons. And we are about to end the typical rough first year for a new coaching squad. And the beer in the Gold Room is still cold. Optimism.

Trust me, this "Hall-thing" is going to happen to other teams and is going to continue to happen until either the NCAA is stripped of all power to self-regulate its purview (hence, collapses), or, the NCAA gets some sort of legislation toward an antitrust exemption.

I dont think you get it. Guys are gonna sit out after getting poached mid season or early March. How is this fair competition?
In theory, Duke could buy unc's best player and tell him to sit out. This is insanity.

Well, a, 35 states have anti/inducement laws on the books when it comes to NIL and b it was his reasoning in his judgment (yes, ensuring competitive balance is important but I see no harm…he made a judgment call not based on law at all).

I dunno - when I read about cases before the Supreme Court it seems consequences are discussed. Regardless, what a disaster. A major league baseball player can't quit midseason because free agency is coming up. Why should a college kid be allowed to?
