Some of the worst defense we've played.

Plagued by turnovers again.

Otis was really bad, maybe he's sick/ getting worn down or something and that explains it...

I'm very ok with Boyd Kier Newman

Best scoring lineup of the day was Moore Newman Boyd Grayer Jenkins

Obviously next game is a must win. This year is still a great accomplishment but losing these last few really sucks.

Oh and the feed sucked. Don't get why anyone should pay for the network. Games are never on it. Really hope we can get back to being on TV or mason invests in streaming.

Yeah - love him, but found myself yelling at Otis this game. Especially after we got the steal against Cavanaugh and the an absent-minded Otis coughs it right back up to Cavanaugh.

I do really like what I see out of Boyd and Newman lately.

Otis seems a little off the last couple of games. We NEED him to get back his mojo.

...And, Watanabe! He's a Mason KILLER. So glad when I won't have to see him on the court.

Plus, you can't turn over the ball like Mason did. We out-shoot them. Out-rebound them. And still lose!!!:upset:

So frustrating playing this team, every time. Watanabe always seems to have career games against us, and all he does is the running to the left mid range jumper. So so frustrating when you dominate the boards and shoot better from 2 and 3, but you still find a way to lose by double digits. Easily one of the most lopsided reffed games of the year, some of the calls on Jenkins were just atrocious. And then we drive on the other end and their draped all over us to no whistle. We should be manhandling a team that mostly shoots 3s and isn't quick or athletic.

Responding to my own post for the first time if memory serves me correctly . Or if GMU beats Duquesne and GW loses on the road at Fordham and home to Dayton it will secure a top 7.

Regardless - it makes my brain hurt to think of scenarios. Mason needs to take care of business.

Dumbfounded on how we can never beat GW. WTF. Watanbe is garbage but he always seems to go off on us. Otis needs to step up his game.

We should be satisfied with the season, but somehow losing 3 games in a row has been very disappointing . Team has regressed. Im sure DP is frustrated. He will have to guard against complacency.

While real potential in Boyd, Kier, and Newman. VERY marginal recruits. Dixon, Temera, Revalo, Murrel, Abrhms.

Notice Cavanaugh, Sena are transfers. Its time DP goes and gets us some decent big men. Looking forward to Marr & Wilson, but where is the beef.

Positive spin: We were picked 12 pre-season. We will likely be 7, 8, or 9. Who here wouldn't have taken that?

Yeah - we need our own Muscala. Failing that - George Evans, Will Thomas or Jai Lewis. Gonna miss Jenkins.

Before this year I didn't really give a shit about this rivalry because I thought it was just a marketing thing. But after watching Wantanabe and Cavanaugh play like massive pussies twice I can safely say I hate that team. Cavanaugh goes down like he's been shot. And talk about pussy moves, Wantanabe majors in Japanese? f**k outta here.

It's time to Burn The Damn Boats! We came too far to be this complacent. Guys have to step up and contribute. We have exceeded all expectations, let's not settle. Let's go win the whole thing. Defense was horrible. This Team seems to play better with a shorter rotation. We can't win big games if Otis doesn't pull it together, 2pts 4 turnovers uncharacteristic for him. He's struggled the last four games, hope he's not burned out.

I'm not sure how much they really regressed, considering the teams they've been losing to. Should have gotten URI at home, but they just let themselves get too far behind.

If there's one real complaint about Paulsen's system is that his defense is just too conservative at times. We play small, but we also play a rather traditional half-court offense and defense...sometimes against a team like GW, that's going to bite you.

By the way, with as much dribble penetration this team got and all the shots we got going to the basket, there's no way we should have only had 10 FTs for the entire game.

Another frustrating loss, feed sucked, etc. I thought overall we played much better then 1) previously against GW, and 2) for the most part GW did in this game; but turnovers killed us. Bottom line.

Still, this season has far exceeded expectations for me, we will still likely finish at least 9-9 and I'm hopeful for our first A10 tournament victory, or 2 :)

Anyone else notice Otis was also benched for the end of the game, while the outcome was still in doubt? Amazing how Otis had his slump earlier in the year, then had the most efficient week of anyone ever (the St. Louis away game and whatever home game followed - Lasalle maybe). Now he is slumping again.

I love Otis as a player and person, but sometimes he seems like the dumbest smart guy on the court - rushed shots, dribbling way too much, etc. I know he was told to be more aggressive offensively, I hope next year our stud freshmen guards, along with Grayer, will be able to be the focal point offensively and he can go back to being more of a facilitator and taking good shots rather than forcing things offensively.

I think the increased offensive efficiency from Grayer and the development from Kier/Boyd/Newman, combined with the departure of Jalen and Moore's combined 5.7 assists per game will allow/necessitate this.

Good point...GMU is on a losing streak, but I don't think regressed is the right word given who they've played. If GMU loses to Duquesne, the R word should definitely be thrown around.
