With Paulsen running the show we'll achieve over .500 sooner than later and won't ever look back. Proud of our fan base today, Paulsen asked for a great crowd and we gave it to him. URIs defense was legit and it took the team a half to adjust to it. If we see them again we'll be ready.

I was curious about that also. Perhaps the play was for him to throw it half court, run down and get the ball back for the shot.

I am proud of 99% of our fan base today. But those "fans" who left with 30 seconds left in a tied game aren't true fans. If you're so concerned about beating the precious traffic, which takes all of 3 minutes to get out of the parking lot, just stay home and watch the game online.

The "fans" in front of me complained because my friend and I were "too loud" and it "hurt her ears". NOT ONE word of profanity. Just cheering for the team and yelling at Hurley. Many of our season ticket fan base is lame, too old, and too set in their ways. Want a "quiet" experience? Go to the opera. Had to listen to him tell us that because they paid more for their seats that we should listen to him and stop yelling. LOVE the young guys several rows back. LOUD and enthusiastic.
Wish we would have competed in the first half like we did in the second. That's the story folks.
By the way, we are in trouble without Marquise and Jalen next year.

It's a basketball game! You're supposed to yell! So long as you weren't in here ear yelling your fine! Tell them to get over it and if they want quiet then go to a funeral (only slightly less entertaining than the Hewitt years).
We'll be all right.
This was a game where we couldn't have let one of our big three go cold from the floor, and Otis went 2-13. This was also a game where we couldn't let URI shoot well, and they went 9-20 from 3 (mostly in the first half). They also shot well above their average at the free throw line.
So proud of them for fighting back the way they did. Rhode Island had a nice bit of height. And also proud of them trying to get the crowd in to it. However, most people were not very animated. That sucks. I bought some awesome up close tickets off some guy on craigslist. My buddies flaked out so I found a guy and a kid in the nose bleeds and brought them down. The kid got a t-shirt and was cheering defense and was pretty much one of the most vocal fans near me. It has been a while since I have been to a game and I thought the managing of the stuff outside of the actual game was pretty awesome. Now, if we can get those old/young fuddy duddies to get up and scream for this team with some pride throughout the game it will be a lot better.
Tale of two halfs. Think this probably ends the top four hopes but five and six seeds still give favorable first game matchups. Happy that we figured out how to adjust, a little concerned it took so long. Can't harp on Jalen too much because of the points he put up/how clutch he was at the line but when your big travels 5 times in a game you're gonna have a hard time. Especially down 1 with 30 seconds left.
Sometimes shots just don't fall. Unfortunately as our shots weren't falling, they were shooting lights out. Otis hits that wide open three and we win. I'm sure of it.
Overall if you told me in November that we'd be dissapointed by a loss at home to Rhode Island because it hurt our top four hopes I would have called you an idiot and that we'd be fighting to stay out of the play in. But here we are. Good steps and maybe Richmond and St Bonnie's screw the pooch down the stretch. Onwards and upwards.

"We got out early and in pretty good control of the game,” Rams Coach Dan Hurley said, “but then we had to deal with the quality that Coach Paulsen has put together here in a short amount of time. . . . They made us earn this one.”
