Even before seeing the outcome of our last 2 games, I thought we'd be lucky to go 2-2 in our last 4. Feels like we finish 5th-6th at best.

We lost this game at the line and on the glass.

We are in desperate need of a big who can guard one-on-one in the post so we don’t have to double so much; oh and who can punish a team for playing a big with 4 fouls — Hughes should have been abused on the other side but we had no one to really challenge him.

Well if you told me 2 hours ago we would start the game up 19 and end up losing by 1 I would have laughed, and then sadly agreed. This game sums up our season as a whole pretty accurately. Get excited for about a quarter of it, then we absolutely shit the bed when it counts.

Hate that last play that Paulsen drew up. Did Reuter get fouled? Absolutely. But don’t fault the ref for not calling it to end the game one bit.

Looked like a great turnout and decent atmosphere at least.

Does anyone really think Mason is a top tier team? Just look at how poor we are defensively, no big man no strong inside players. Reuter is a good offensive sub, but brings zero defense. Calixte may help but he is just not enough. In fact we rely on two guards to do our rebounding, Kier, Green. Paulson may be a good coach and that is up for debate, but he sure as hell can't recruit worth a s... Without Otis next year and a soft freshman classs (oduro?, who everyone says should be redshirted) Next year appears to be much worse than this year. I hope I am wrong, but things ain't looking too good.

I feel like Dunn-Martin did most of his damage against Hartwell didn’t he?

I thought Hartwell had a typical freshman game — some good stuff and some bad stuff.

JDS was not very good tonight.

A lot of little mistakes piled up on us, dumb decisions that led to turnovers. Even Greene getting ted up in the first half.

The one thing I admired about Duquesne is outside of the first five minutes, they played with a ton of intensity and sustained it for about 35 minutes. We couldn’t sustain any level of intensity at all.

Otis has never been a defensive star, but he has over 1800 career points, so I’d say he’s been THE guy for 4 years now.

I’m not as doom and gloom next year, IF Mar comes back closer to his freshman shooting and his defense before getting hurt this year will be a big lift. I think Miller can start the 3. If Paulsen trusts Kier to run the point I think our defense largely will be much better running Kier, Greene, Miller, and Mar 1-4.

We will miss Otis’s shooting. I don’t know who can or will step up there, but this team is probably around 4-7 next season if everything breaks right.

Kier this Kier that.....how bout Kier get benched bc it was his turnovers that started the comeback in 1st half. DP has misguided loyalty alot. AJ makes a mistake he gets pulled right away. Why not Keir. Remember when Coach L benched Hancock vs NC State in the Charleston Classic?? It worked.
