Just a FYI, you can watch most of the MASON games on a website for free called vipbox. There's a lot of ads you have to click out of and you have to be patient, but I have caught most of the games from stream. Good backup in case the a10 stream crashes or the game isn't televised.

The vipbox stream hijacks the A10 Mason stream so if the stream goes down, there is nothing for vipbox to hijack. But it is free just make sure you have really good anti-virus/spyware program.

Wow. I didn’t realize how poor the Flyers were on the road this season. That is really bad. There seems to be a lot of these type squads in A-10 this season, hence one bid league if URI wins the conference tourney.

That was a nice surprise last night, just a real nice surprise:

It was great to see us finally keep our foot on the gas and not let a team back in it when we had them down. Little concerned about Grayer and his lack of minutes, hopefully just giving him some rest to heal up. Thought some of the role players played well, and Otis was fantastic.

Grasping we might be able to go .500 in the A10 this year. Even with it being a down year, still would be a pretty nice accomplishment. If we can be .500 in the conference during our "down years", I can live with that.

I will give Paulsen credit, the freshman are really starting to develop. But you can’t compare struggling in year 1 after a coaching change to Mason’s struggles after year 3.

I would not be so down on DP if Mason struggled against quality opponents. It’s extremely concerning when Mason is sub .500 and has a SOS of 150.

The a10 is really down this year; according to RealtimeRPI the A10 is considered the 10th best conference this year. So excuse me everyone for not wanting to crown DP as our savior.

picked up 2 early fouls, then a 3rd when he got back into the game. Never really got into the flow.

Thanks for doing this, Petey. Can Sully provide a post-game write up? Would love to hear some more condescending remarks on how a team that 'many forget is even in the A-10" kicked the crap out of his Dayton Flyers. Was his write-up constantly smug and poorly written or am I wrong? You're doing great though!

Eh, his writeup is for the Dayton fanbase. We needled each other a little bit in the questions so I don't mind that.

Otis was sensational, but last night really showed me what this team can look like when the supporting cast comes to play. Goanar had 12 points on 5 shots, Kier had 14 points, 6 assists, and 5 rebounds, and Boyd had 10 + 6. Calixte had 8 + 7 and also held Josh Cunningham to 3-9 shooting and 5 rebounds. Cunningham is really good and that's a fantastic effort on him.

Also tweeted about this a little last night but Dayton does not look like a team that's fully engaged. I try to stay away "effort" based analysis because it's usually lazy, but body language, energy, etc from the Dayton bench was really bad. Dayton puts too much talent on the floor to be 5-8 in a down A10.
