Why can’t we draw 9,000 or so? Is it marketing? Does the campus not know we’re good?Attendance: 5,219 - https://sjuhawks.com/boxscore.aspx?path=mbball&id=12954
Campus won't know we're good until we win in the NCAA tournamentWhy can’t we draw 9,000 or so? Is it marketing? Does the campus not know we’re good?
Let’s hope they put up the screen in the JC for the men and women’s teams this March. That might be the only thing that gets people out from their rocks. ♂️♂️Campus won't know we're good until we win in the NCAA tournament
One more win to lock up top 2!Folks, that officially wraps up a top four finish.
And most importantly we won in an exciting game… hoping those fans return.''This team has a lot of heart''
I always think of the 69 New York Mets when someone says that.
These Patriots are just amazin' amazin' amazin'.

I love the amount of new posters on the boards lately--lots of Walk-ons, Three-star Recruits ect. This team is starting the capture the casual fan and I dig it!
This reminds me of Larranaga’s teams. Defense first and everything else flows from that. Good times.Atmosphere of the year so far, reminded me of 2010-2011 the place got loud when it was supposed to. It wasn’t pretty but this might just be the team of destiny. All in for this roster.
Huh?One more win to lock up top 2!
Arena matters so much. The crowd today (~5k) and the crowd at HoCo (~7k) were both loud and rowdy... but in a building that holds almost 10k, the optics are always going to feel just a bit weak when you pan out.Why can’t we draw 9,000 or so? Is it marketing? Does the campus not know we’re good?
The defensive start was definitely poor - but SJU shot 45% from 3PT while being contested. But Team Tony can win in all kinds of ways. They scrap and they adjust and they don't give up. Buckle up for a heart attack every time they lace 'em up the rest of the way.Smoke and mirrors. We won despite playing the WORST 8 minutes of defense in the Skinn regime to open the game. 20 points in the first 8 minutes is a pace to give up 100. Horrible effort to open the game. But, we found a way to scrap back and win. I'll take it! Attack the rim and good things happen. Nice to meet @patriot2000, I hope your son enjoys the bobblehead. Great to see @gmutom. Miss seeing you at all the games!!!! Great crowd, I wish 5,000 + was the norm.
Today changed my mind of a long held opinion that if we ever get a new place it should remain at roughly the same capacity. I am all for a ~7,000 seater now.Arena matters so much. As an example, Loyola Chicago's building holds just under 5k, and so it always feels packed, even when attendence is just north of 4k. When GMU pulls in 4k, we all flock to these boards and lament the low energy in EBA.
