Where the eff was the defense in the second half? We're becoming that team that finds a way to lose games now....All that said, the call on Kelly with 30 seconds left does not get called at home if you're Richmond, vcu, Dayton or any other team in this league. Big guy with a fadeaway gets a bail out call.

Everything seemed a struggle for Mason in the 2nd half. Loyola made it look easy against the GMU D.

Blew a 12 point first half lead at home. We continue to find ways to lose games that are winnable.

This time? 17 turnovers leading to 19 points for Loyola.

Second half defense was absolutely trash. The TOs were bad but giving up easy basket after easy basket after easy basket is a recipe for disaster.

Not sure why Billups kept being stuck on Alston because he got absolutely bullied by him.

Couldn’t defend a pick and roll to save our lives.

How many times did their big oaf guy go at Kelly with ease and either we didn’t help or he just spun away from a week double?

…which is incredibly frustrating given the talent level for this team.
It’s worth asking if we are as talented as we think we are. I see three great players in Hall, Maddox and Kelly and a rising star in Okojie, but we are average at best after that.

We played 8 guys tonight, and one was Ball who only played a few minutes in the first half. Two of the 7 players who saw significant minutes combined for 5 points.

Tony runs his starters into the ground like Paulsen used to do, and we seem to run out of steam. I’m not blaming Tony for this loss — that’s on our players for the turnovers and piss-poor defense — but we’ve obviously hit a wall in three straight games.
