Just got home from the game. I LOVE watching Fernandez play. He is so athletic, makes 3's, and is now driving hard to the hoop. He is going to be fun to watch for what I hope will be several years.

There’s a significant injection of excitement when Fernandez plays. He’s a horse in the open floor, he can create his own shot to the basket, and he can also spot up from deep.

That’s the difference between a top 100 player who was pursued by power 5 programs as a freshman and a guy who maybe needs time to develop and had mid to low major offers.

He’s quickly becoming a fan favorite and I can’t wait to watch him continue to grow. He’s very very special, and we haven’t had a player like him that I could remember.

Overall happy with the win tonight. Happy to see Mason get a sizable win at home and play some solid defense. Plenty to improve on but a good win. Nows the time to get rolling.

It's true that he was cold from 3, but he did lead the team with 8 of our 14 assists. Also he was tied with Bailey with +18 (Josh was +15 and Justyn a +10).

Justyn is obviously the exception, time to turn him loose. The other freshmen are still not ready and that should be obvious to anyone who watches the games.

Noah Fernandes, one of the better PGs in the league, missed yet another game--6th in a row. And I think RJ Luis--won the A10 Rookie of the week was the one with the bloody nose from the collision and only played 13 minutes. Also Matt Cross, another 6-7 forward averaging double digits, didn't play for the second straight game.

Yeah, Luis went from 31 against Duquesne last game to 0 against GMU tonight.
