21 TO against UMass...will we break a division 1 record for number of turnovers against vcu? 50 maybe? Is it possible to turn the ball over on every single possession?

Im just curious how a team can go from good to bad to downright bad bad bad (yes I know better competition), but still. Good grief.

I like Lamar, but give me the Mason alum who's sitting on the Seton Hall bench right now.

I think the thinking here is we had 2 assistant openings this year and Lamar should have gotten one of them, but it's also pretty clear from his Twitter page that he does not like Paulsen and would not work for him even if offered.

If we’re looking at guys with local ties, two other possibilities are Harvard head coach Tommy Amaker and UNC assistant Hubert Davis.

As much as Lamar is a mason guy, he’s not a Paulsen guy. Paulsen has been coaching enough that he has enough contacts he’d probably go to first. I’d love a mason alum to be on staff as much as the next guy, but just doesn’t seem to be Dave’s style unless he’s coached them previously or worked with them (like Bryson).

If we're talking about the head coach position, I'm on the Mike Lonergan redemption train. He'll get good assistants, maybe even a Mason alum and is a solid tactician. Also, after what happened at GW (which was the result of a rogue AD), he'll probably be less of an a-hole to deal with.

Lonergan less of an asshole? Good one.

Nah, I’d stay away from someone like him. But maybe John Becker at Vermont would be a nice pickup.

I know very little about the GW situation, but there must be something there if another program hasn't hired him.

His athletic director was banging students and they hated each other. Jorgensen and the other soft dude only ones who complained. All the good players liked him.
Not just banging students, but pretty much stalking them. Oh and he was actively trying to undermine Lonergan...Yep, any player with a salt at GW liked him. We could do way worse.

Yea, I wonder if there is some sort of stipulation in the settlement agreement. Maybe some offset salary language that would keep him from taking a job at a lower level for less money.

His contract ran through 2021, so whatever settlement he might have had, those terms would almost be up.

it just takes years to get back once you have a scandal. Look at mike rice. I think Dambrot took years too before Akron.

The guy is an enormous prick. And that existed long before any of that stuff surfaced with the AD. But he wins so everyone gave him a pass...

Anyone else see Hartwell slam the ball down as he left the floor after the game ended?

I’d take Lonergan in a heartbeat. Dude has proven he can build a winner at this level with worse resources. Who gives a shit if he’s an asshole? There’s like 2 people on these boards who donate enough to warrant having any kind of personal interaction with the HC. I’ll take a dickhead who can win. And he can’t be so bad, kids were still coming to GW and there weren’t huge exodus of his best players year in year out..

Winning excuses a ton of negative traits.

Paulsen doesn't hire guys unless he's coached them? What is Simpkins then? NO wonder he looks like he can't wait to get outta Fairfax. However, he should be staying. Pete Hutch can stay too. But Lil Dave and everyone else gotta go. Paulsen is the Problem.

Plus we don't do well with name Paul. It should go extinct for our program.
