He’s suffering from being the focal point of the defense and also being the shooter of last resort. But he only took two really ill-advised threes yesterday, both were line drives and not close to going in.

He does bring something we don’t have otherwise, which is a tight handle and ability to change direction at will in traffic.

I’m not sure if giving him a bigger role will help much for end of game situations. He is a freshman and will make freshman mistakes.

I wouldn't be surprised to see him gradually getting more minutes. This feels a lot like what we saw with Okojie last season. Hopefully we can keep Begg around for a while and have more confidence in our PG position going forward.

Someone answer this question from a basketball strategy standpoint, please.

Why does CTS have KD inbound the ball under our own basket? I love what I've seen from him lately, so no hate here, but he's not the tallest, and he looks to me like he freezes if he doesn't immediately find an outlet. He's been bailed out at least twice by a ref by gifting him a TO instead of a TO, um ... timeout instead of a turnover. It just seems to me there are better options than to have home throw it in.

Part of it definitely looks like KD is reluctant to turn the ball over, but most of it looks like scheme issues.

We have players who literally stand still and others who get caught up tussling with their defender. If we’re running plays that don’t involve throwing the ball beyond the top of the key or into the backcourt, they’re not working.

Set some double screens and create an open shot in the paint or on the perimeter. Teams do it against us all the damn time.

We are running essentially the same offense Coach L ran (ball screen motion offense). The difference is we run 4 or 5 out instead of having a high-low post presence in most sets.

PS: people complained about his offense all the time too.
