Before I leave this fun of each of us trolling one another, what are yall's predictions for the game?

Wouldn't be surprised to see Mason pull away with a W in this one. Either way, good luck to you guys.

Hard to predict how this team does, as their youth makes them prone to huge up- and down-swings. As someone else mentioned, we start two juniors (Livingston II and Grayer), one sophomore (Kier), and two freshmen (Mar and Calixte). We have no seniors and we bring a sophomore (Boyd) and two freshmen off the bench (Wilson, who is a RS, and Greene) -- only 8 scholarship players total. They play extremely hard, and never seem to quit, which makes them competitive for the most part. They really are easy and fun to root for.

I think this game will be close, as our games with vcu typically have been, with the winner being a toss-up as basketball luck and hot shooting goes in the clutch. I think the key for Mason will be how well Calixte can guard Tillman, no small task, and how well we protect the ball in the halfcourt. We're prone to lots of silly turnovers, and if we cough it up more than 15 times, that won't bode well for our chances. We also don't defend the three well, partly due to Coach Paulsen's defensive scheme of doubling the post and trying to recover on kickouts. We also switch on nearly every screen, which results in a lot of terrible mismatches.

We'll see. Should be a good crowd, it seems. I miss going to these games as I moved away from the area about 8 years ago.

Damn, things have escalated since my visit here this morning. I love our rivalry with vcu. It's always one of my favorite games. I think what makes it especially enticing is how hard vcu fans try to pretend like they don't care at all about those shitty fgoomoos. I mean, GUYS, LISTEN, I could not care ANY LESS about a team than that one. Like, not even A LITTLE BIT. My life is WAY TOO BUSY, and WAY TOO IMPORTANT to think about that shitty little commuter school in nova. I mean, for real, guys. Am I right? Who's with me? Just think about how hard they are GOING TO CRY after we beat their asses in that SHITTY LITTLE arena of theirs. When do we play Fordham guys? That's our REAL RIVAL. fgmu

I've always thought it was funny how bad GMU wanted/wants to be our rival. They were and probably still are jealous that ODU and Richmond will always be our top rivals.

Heck, the fact we honor them with FGmu is way too much attention. Fordham is a much bigger rival than they ever will be. Doormats with a guard that, when gone, will eliminate them as a worthy A10 team. Oh, how far a decent program has fallen in 8 short years. Most programs turn a FF into a positive. Theirs turned them into a Patriot League program...sad.

I'm pretty impressed that I was able to anticipate the "Fordham is a bigger rival" comment!

Weren’t we saying the same thing about the fur board and their unhappy people? Yes it was true, but as we learned two years ago we should not take any conference opponent lightly. Mason is more a threat with this coach than They were with their last coach. Yes our goal is the stomp them and make their board even more unhappy, but it shouldn’t be expected as a right. I also disagree with comments that they are not a rival since we are both State teams and we have shared the same conference most of the last many years and additionally we have met in lots of meaningful games. YES, we have won most of those !
