Exactly. And we went from a coach who wasted timeouts to one who is reluctant to use one. Should have taken that last timeout two minutes ago when they went on the 6-0 run. Had a chance to quell the momentum.

Livingston is going to end up being one of the best point guards in Mason history. Going to be fun watching him for four years. Better effort tonight and the players looked not as lost trying to implement the new offense. Murrell is supposed to be one of our best 3 point shooters...yikes. Hopefully Paulsen can coach these guys up to attack a zone because that was a huge problem with the team under Hewitt.

Think Paulsen had the guys doing the right thing but nobody pulled the trigger on penetration until the dump pass to the low post (we scored)...then they promptly never did that again (dribble penetration). That's on the players...not the coach.

Agree on the fouls they didn't seem to be calling it the same way on both ends of the court...but had to appreciate Mercer hitting almost all, if not all, of their free throws.

I agree. We struggled against the zone every bit as much as we have in recent years...Clearly they'll get plenty of opportunities to practice against it.
