Team Stats:
GW averages 77.7points per game (3rd in the A10) while giving up 67.4 (5th in the A10).

The Revolutionaries shoot 45.4% from the floor (9th in the A10) and 32.3% from 3 (12th in the A10).
Opponents are shooting 40.1% from the field and 29.5% from 3.

They shoot 71.7% from the free throw line (6th in the A10).

The Revolutionaries have out rebounded opponents by .9 boards per game and average 11.8 turnovers per contest.

Thoughts: They have had considerable success at EBA with 6 wins in Fairfax since 2014, the most recent in 2023. Not a fan of the 12:30 tipoff. I hope we give them a beating with no post Dayton hangover. It would be another sign of us being a real good team.

Discuss.

I am at the GWU vs Duquesne game
GWU students have been offered a free bus ride, free game Tix and food for the Saturday game vs GMU.
They are trying to make it an away home game.
I'm gonna get a GMU bench folding chair. Shine it up real nice.

And stick it up Caputo's Candy a**.

If you SMEEEEEEELLLL.... what the Tony has cooking!

Bring their lame a** students out, welcome all silver spoon kids who think they are better than us

I’ll repost the infamous Caputo quote: “former asst/current George Washington coach Chris Caputo said. "George Mason's a former commuter school, was D-II, had seven straight losing seasons when he got there & hasn't sniffed the (NCAAs) since he left." He kicked us in the neck when we were down folks and he dug in the spikes on our neck with the D2 comment and “haven’t sniffed”. The hell with him. The hell with GW. Send him and the GW students back with a loss.

GIVING DAY 2023
My Fear
2 or 3 years ago the GWU at GMU game was held when the students were on Winter Break.
The GWU students showed up early and to the first few front rows of the student section.

Uhhhh not for nothing but every single poster on these boards also lobs these insults at Mason lol
I haven’t seen people mention the former D2 aspect or the commuter aspect. If anything were changing with our growing on campus population. My point stands… Caputo went back to our history with the D2 comment to dig in the spikes on us. He didn’t have to do that.

Last year our AD handled it well and they plan to do so again this year. If I recall correctly, they handled it so well that their fans posted about being disappointed they weren’t able to take over the sidelines like they had a couple of years ago.

I was irritated when he said that, but, I have mostly gotten over it. I think that likely came out of not getting the Mason job previously and wanting to justify to GW fans why he felt GW was the choice for him. I haven’t spoken with him recently, but, back when he was at Mason on the OCM staff, he was by far the most welcoming and fun of the staff to hang out with. He was a great guy and I assume he still is.

Thanks for sharing that gmubrian. Yes, coaches have to say stuff to prove they are all in on their current team. But still kinda irks. Oh well. Move on, the best way to get back at him is to win every/most games we play against them.
