When things like this happen I'm used to us cracking and completely imploding. The fact that we didn't is still strange to me.

Would it have been awesome to keep the first half pace and run them out of their own building, of course. But, I didn't think that would happen (didn't think we'd be up by 23 or even 10).

This win is still fantastic.

Found a way to win. Great decision by Paulsen to go to the zone! Played just well enough in the 2nd half. 25 minutes of great basketball, 10 minutes of lousy basketball, 5 minutes of pucker basketball. A win is a win. This game was a perfect example of Paulsen's comments earlier in the season when he said we'd play great at times and then you'd scratch your head and wonder if we've ever practiced. Good job guys!

A win on the road against a team that was tied for first. Always a good thing. Can't tell if this was Richmond's "stinker" game or if we just have their number. Paulson switching to that zone late was a master stroke and Richmond never could recover their momentum, despite the fact that we gave them opportunities. Would have been an epic meltdown, but Paulson saved our bacon this time

What happened to that 80+% ft shooting in the last 5 minutes stat? We even had some good shooters on the line in Grayer and Kier.

Meanwhile crosstown, vcu is killing LaSalle by 28 early in the second half. Game on NBCSN.

We missed a couple of wide open shots that probably go down in the first half, a couple of possessions when we rushed a shot we shouldn't have. Overall, though, gritty effort to close out the game and when we slowed them down with the zone, the most important thing is we controlled the defensive glass off their missed shots.

Great game overall. Now let's not turn around a put up a stinker at home against GW.
