Just checked NCAA regs. It looks like a student can change schools even after signing a letter of intent, they just have to sit out a year.

But Brad is right that other schools will try to poach them. All you need to do is ask for a release from your LOI and that is almost always granted.

I doubt it will come to that. Neither of these kids strike me as flaky. They knew what they were doing when they signed and see no reason why they wouldn’t still be committed to Mason.

Really surprised when they went to the monitors last night at the end that we didn't get the ball. The stream had a decent replay of it and it looked pretty clear that it went out of bounds on the St Joes player. Luckily, it didn't matter.

That hasn't stopped players from asking to be released from the NLIs after having a change of heart. I believe this happened to vcu in the past year or two with one of their pg recruits.

Awesome win. I had to follow on gamecast and the last 2 minutes were brutal to follow. Once they scored with 5 seconds I was resigned to misery, only to be blown away a few seconds later. But man it took like 10 minutes for the play by play to update those last 21 seconds after their timeout. Obviously would have liked us to extend the double digit lead with 8 to play, but a win is a win is a win. I wouldn't put too much stock in what Edwards had to say. It's great that he was there and engaging, but what's he gonna say but anything positive?

Just watched the post game presser. Players gave lots of credit to the coach and coaching staff...doesn't seem like a team that has given up on their coach.
