Otis played 43 minutes last game, a very active 43 minutes at that. This is what makes stringing together several wins in a row so difficult. We have very little fault tolerance this year. Desperately need someone outside of our big 3 to really step it up.
You could tell after a while Otis took over the game at the end because he seemed to have little confidence in his teammates to score.
One example: When Otis was on a 2 on 1 fast break, he took the ball to the rim instead of passing it and got blocked. Because several times this year and earlier in the game, his teammates screwed up a nice pass from Otis which should have resulted in an easy layup but was either fumbled, blocked, traveled or missed wide open 3 pointers.
Noticed this too. Otis clearly decided this was his game and wasn’t going to let it go.
We shouldn’t have to to ride him, or any one player, like that to beat mid level teams. It’d be nice if other guys could share that mentality (Grayer, Kier, Boyd).
We are in trouble if Otis runs out of gas. Like everyone, he can get sloppy when he’s tired and make some bad decisions and forces some shots. Worked out in this case, but it clearly could have gone the other way.
Didn’t think we’d be able to get around the load that is Holloway. So, I figure we will be more successful getting to the hoop this game.

We don’t get the cushion until the final minute.
