This is quite possibly the stupidest argument that you have ever made. What player did Hewitt ever develop? How many similarly-talented players did you have to see him waste?

Yeah but most seniors especially ones who dream of the NBA make big leaps. The way I see it most of Paulsen's players have regressed.No. Biggest jump his senior year. Gotta look at more than points (which was a .1 ppg difference). Watch the games. He also won the conference’s most improved player award last year. On this, you have no leg to stand.
Ha. That’s rich coming from you.Yeah but most seniors especially ones who dream of the NBA make big leaps. The way I see it most of Paulsen's players have regressed.
Kier, Boyd, even Mar.
You can't have everything both ways. You can't make excuses for everything negative and give all the credit for something positive.
I never said his "biggest" jump was sophomore year. I said a big improvement happened under Hewitt's watch. My point is I think Moore would have improved regardless of the coach. He had an internal drive to get better.Ha. That’s rich coming from you.
I can’t give Paulsen some credit for coaching the conference’s award winner for most improved player?
You just said that Moore made his biggest jump sophomore year. Now you agree that it was senior year? You conceded that point pretty quick. Why don’t you just admit that you were wrong?
My bad. Misread that. That’s on me.I never said his "biggest" jump was sophomore year. I said a big improvement happened under Hewitt's watch. My point is I think Moore would have improved regardless of the coach. He had an internal drive to get better.

I understand what your saying. But Shevon had very little basketball experience before he arrived at Mason. Everyone saw the upside and knew he was going to be a project. I'm not convinced DP is some kind of Wizard. Sometimes experience on its own helps you grow.Just go back and look at how Shevon Thompson used to handle being doubled in the post and then look at the second half of his senior season and how he handled being doubled in the post and tell me that Hewitt can't teach the game of basketball.

Let's be clear.. the biggest difference between his freshman and sophomore year was that his freshman year he was playing behind/with BA and Sherrod, so scoring wasn't his primary role, and he was getting 22min per game as opposed to 30min per game his sophomore year. To me, those were the biggest reasons for his "improvement" in his second season. He always had the ability to get to the bucket at will.I never said his "biggest" jump was sophomore year. Would love your examples of other coaches who turned around similar programs and who weren't handing out Adidas bags with $100K inside to recruits. Since you live in Richmond I guess you're comparing everything to vcu.
I'll hang up and listen.
If he always had the ability to get to the bucket at will, what did Paulsen do then?Let's be clear.. the biggest difference between his freshman and sophomore year was that his freshman year he was playing behind/with BA and Sherrod, so scoring wasn't his primary role, and he was getting 22min per game as opposed to 30min per game his sophomore year. You don't coach rebounding. It's generally just an effort thing.
Maybe its the fact that he is a competitor and wanted to play in the NBA.And I wonder where that kick in the a** came from to boost his effort?????? Please stop talking you dumb f-ing rock
I think it's pretty silly to act like improvement can only come from one source. I think it's perfectly fair to say he was well coached AND a hard worker.Maybe its the fact that he is a competitor and wanted to play in the NBA.

Otis started both years and marquise was 9th man his freshman year. What is so hard to grasp?Freshman Otis averaged 11.9 points
Sophomore Otis- 14.3 points
Paulsen was only able to squeeze 2.4 more points out of Otis. I mean it's respectful. Otis increased his average points per game by 20%
Freshman Moore. Averaged 3.9 points a game
Sophomore Moore- 9.5 points per game
That's 5.6 more points a game. Moore increased his average points per game by 143%
My point being again, stop acting like DP is the savior. He probably had influence on delevloling Moore. But Moore has always been a good player and it was clear he was improving his craft way before DP got here.
