No ideas on offense for the most part. A couple of nice backdoor cuts. Just can't get a stop. Feels like the vcu game, once we get within 4-6 we give up a run. We seem to have no handles today. Can't pick up loose balls and Jalen in particular seems to keep losing it down in that corner.

Ugh, what a horrible play by Moore to end the half. Makes a great steal and then turns it over instead of passing to a wide-open Livingston on the break. We need to play much smarter in the 2nd half.

Out gunned right now. Only way I can see us winning is if we get their stars in foul trouble. An early 3rd on Adams would be great.

Side note: Great pronunciations from the announcers. Mar-key Moore! And Ji-arrrrrrrr is a pirate now.

We've been off all day, can't grab key rebounds, Bona is getting any look they want and we are missing free throws. Frustrating to watch.

Ah well. Otis played like crap, and Jalen got his a** handed to him. When those two things happen, we're not going to win a lot of games.

Silver lining: Jaire continues to look like a guy who could challenge for all conference as an upperclassman.

I am beginning to worry about Otis. He's just so damn small in comparison to A10 competition.

Well we mostly hung in for the better part of that game. Which is a plus. If you had told me Otis wouldn't be able to knock anything down and Jalen was going to gift wrap the ball and hand it over to them ten time before the game had started I would've said we'd lose by 25. If they all manage to avoid having a stinker against St. Joe we'll be in good shape, but if someone plays like Otis did against vcu or Jalen did tonight it could be another L.

Agreed. Not a great night but I feel ok about this loss. Bona is good. Nothing went our way and we weren't totally blown out.
Respectfully disagree. We played way too flat today and were lucky they missed as many wide open shots as they did. Adams injury probably made the game a little closer than it would have been otherwise. To give us some excuse, I'm hoping the whole team had the flu.

For all we did wrong (like 15 turnovers), we were a few missed 3s and FTs from making this a very close game. Facing a great backcourt like that was a really good test for our young guards, so hopefully they learn from it.

Slowing down Moore was obviously a focus for them today, so props to Marquise for still finding a way to put up yet another double-double.

It felt like they hit everything. Can't fault the guys for that. If we play the same way against St. Joe's we'll be in the picture to win it.

I mean, yeah, he's not a physically imposing guy, but I'm not super worried. He's crafty and skilled, and that's his game.

Plenty of point guards have gotten by on guile over the years, and it's not like Paulsen isn't putting athletes around him. Between Grayer and Kier and Newman there is athleticism to spare.
