Otis- awesome
Calixte- great game and even got the block at the end of regulation. I thought he held his own against a guy twice his width.
Nice to see us get a road win in conference.
As bad as those announcers were, at least they did something our own PA guy can't do- pronounced Ji-air correctly...

Otis was sensational, arguably his most complete game ever with 33 points, 9 assists, 6 boards and a huge steal to seal the win. I loved his poise and ability to take control without playing out of control.

Grayer and Mar also played well, but the unsung hero has to be Calixte with 8 points and 12 boards. He also held his own against Holloway, who is a handful for even a veteran big man to cover.

Nice to get a win... nice job by Otis to make his FTs in OT... he was 11 for 11. Nice also to see the team was 20-22 from the FT line as well

Did anyone else hear DP ripping into AJ on the WGMU feed? Sounded like he yelled, "AJ, are you ever going to get that play right?" Took him out soon after and not positive he ever saw the floor again.

Otis - Superhuman Endurance. Superhuman work ethic. He seems to play with a purpose much higher than basketball alone. His energy and drive are the same win or loss. A true leader. Love him.

Grayer - Is a great, imagine how great he'd be without 3 travels/game. He seems to score 15+ a game on accident. For such a high scorer, he misses a lot of easy close buckets. Should'eve also had near 30 points tonight as well.

Mar - So important to this program. To be as a heady, crafty, smart player he is at this point is just remarkable. He will be on alot of Mason All Time stat lists.

Calixte - Loving his development. Every game he seems to be showing a bit more versatility to his game and he seems confident, not shy. Holloway should've had a 30 point game against us but Calixte really held his own.

Kier - That's not Kier. Has to be an impostor. Charges, travels, missed easy fast break baskets, bad passes, no energy, looks lost.

Ian - He's not the same and is it just me or does he seem to walk with a slight limp?

AJ - Just didn't need him tonight. He didn't seem to do anything wrong, it's just whatever we were doing was working.

Greene - Same as AJ, provided some good minutes but we just didn't need him tonight.

Otis is a warrior, but it's gonna be a looooooong season if we need 33 points, 9 assists and 6 rebounds from him to win.

If we can ever have a game where Otis, Jaire, Justin and Goanar are all clicking offensively, we can be dangerous. Can't rely on the juniors to combine for 53 points every night.

I did read or hear somewhere that Ian was dealing with some kind of knee issue.

I know it's early in the season and I haven't checked this thoroughly, but I think so far URI is the only other team to win a conference game on the road.

UMass is clearly not at URI 's level, but given UMass' new coach and roster upheaval with their transition, they appear to where we were in Paulsen's first year. So beating them in their place isn't the biggest upset , although we were 8 pt underdogs. According to kenpom, we are only more than 8pt underdogs in 3 more games all year, all away games.....LaSalle (9), St. Joes (10),...and vcu (12).

A road win is always a good thing.

Actually, Mason is the only road team to win in conference so far. Both of URI's wins were at home.

Great effort by Livingston to pull that game out for G Mas. I like that Holloway kid for UMass. Great hands and a high basketball IQ. Can’t say much at all about the rest of the Minutemen.

That was an effort to be proud of. Started off well, dealt with adversity in the form of fatigue and a stretch of poor shooting. Overcame yet another physical mismatch. Didn't quit after giving up the lead. Sucked it up and dominated in overtime. Wow! Well done young men, well done. Otis was an absolute stud. Loved that we pushed the ball and attacked the rim. Wonderful effort by Calixte, the young man is growing in front of our eyes. Good job winning on the road with essentially 6 players.

That was the best performance from a Mason PG that I can remember. The last 5 minutes looked a little dicey, but then he turned it on in OT. Great job Otis!

Thought Greg played his best game. Normally he just grabs some garbage buckets and looks a little timid, but tonight he seemed to have a confidence I hadn’t seen from him. He rebounded well and never backed down. We need that effort every night!

Grayer and Mar had very solid games.

I’ll take a road win in the A10 this year any way we can get it!
