One thing that is interesting about Prarie View - the way they play defense - it is pretty stiff and reminds me a little of vcu. They have long players that are aggressive.

Agreed - but their style of defense is tough - they poke and antagonize - agains similar to vcu. So not a bad game to have in advance of that tilt.

The gap between Longwood/Today and Today/vcu isn't that different. Might've shaken some rust but let's hope it doesn't set back in.

Maybe defensive intensity is just not as good as the freshmen? Paulsen has definitely stressed to the players they need to play defense first, maybe that's the issue.

Just wasn't playing all that well. Relvao came in and even though he didn't score (I have no idea why he kicked that one back out to Otis when there was literally no PVAW player near him) he basically controlled the low post while he was in.
