How do you guys have time to watch the game a second (or more) time?

When do you feed your horses, shovel about a hundred pounds of manure out of the stalls, spread thousands of pounds of compost (formerly manure) in the fields, change the oil in the tractor and other winter farm equipment maintenance? That has been my day so far.

Jeez, I sound like I live in Harrisonburg...

I’m avoiding grading final papers (although my grades are due by Monday night).

I have three kids who are big enough to do my labor for me.

Could Rowe be mad about Kier comn to Mason? Did they even offer Kier?

I a m watching the replay and I ent over the few minutes before and after the call. I think he was upset at how the game was going and it relates to the record he has with Mason -- As a former player for the Dukes - he has a lot of pride in the team and he feels frustration.

I am surprised by this because by all other accounts he is a nice guy and passionate about his team.

Did you all see that sh!t-eating grin  from Kier in the presser when the double-T's were mentioned?

Obviously, Kier and Mason got the best of that little dust up!

They did not. Brady didn’t think Justin was good enough to play at JMU. Joke’s on his a** — Kier is our second-best player and Brady is no longer a head coach.
The way Kier is playing, he might be the best player. (This season)

I seriously doubt Paulsen directed Kier to intentionally draw a technical, but the part I don't get about the JMU conspiracy theory is there is absolutely nothing wrong with doing that even if it did happen. Sports are physical, mental and tactical, and you always look for any legal advantage to win — especially in a rivalry.

If you see that a player is in a fragile state of mind or in foul trouble, you do what you can within the confines of the game to get under that player's skin. It's no different than throwing at a cornerback who has gotten burned on several passes or gotten nicked up on a previous play. If he stays in the game, you go right at his a**.

Yep, this happens in all sports all of the time.

As an example from local soccer, it was well known that kicking D.C. United's creative playmaker Luciano Acosta got him off his game and at some point he'd retaliate and get booked (yellow or red card), so teams essentially spend their entire time kicking and fouling him every time he gets the ball until he blows up. That stopped working this season (although he's so good that teams still essentially just kick him and foul him every time he gets the ball anyway to try to stop him).

Needling from the opposition is just something you have to deal with as an athlete.

The reality is, Kier is from that area and JMU didn't even bother to recruit him. JMU is still Mason's rival (at least for right now), and it's really fun beating down your rival. On the flip side it really sucks when you're being beaten down by your rival and emotions run high.

By that measure - he should upset every time a team dunks the ball against them. I didn’t think he would be that soft.

That guy Lewis on JMU was yapping from the first minute after he made a three. Then gets T'd up later after AJ sent his shot into the stands and he threw a hissy fit. I have no sympathy for JMU, their demeanor reflected that of their coach, undisciplined.
