Mason Gillis and Maliq Brown aren't freshman

We played against Sion James last year when he was at Tulane

Woody Newton already played in Cameron before back when he was at Syracuse

Current Mason assistant coach Louis Hinnant played against Duke back when he played at Boston College

So did Darius Maddox at tech. He played 23 minutes on the Hokies which beat the Paulo Banchero led Duke team in the ACC Tourney. 6 pts and 5 rebounds. The very same tournament in which he hit the game winner over clemson

This is their weakest Duke Team since 2007. It doesn't have the height, skill or athleticism of even the most recent few years.

I just want to see our defense put to the stress test. Maddox is always on, but Anderson and Woody have been streaky (not in a @tblack33 way lol). Also, how will Jalen and Gio match up against 7'2" Maluach. Duke just has too much consistent offensive fire power. It's gonna take everyone playing at career levels to have a shot at pulling a dub at Cameron. If we don't cough the ball up more than 12 times, play solid defense, and keep it respectable I'll be impressed. Also, no techs from KD.

Malauch is big and physical..but he's a freshman...notice he only played 11 minutes against Louisville with 2 pts and 2 rebounds...that's par for the course...Duke plays much smaller most of the time with Maliq brown at the 5. Maliq a very good defender but limited offensively and only 6'8 220. We can post these guys up...Tennessee last year was a different story..7' Jonas Aidoo was a beast against our much smaller front line

Hopefully the Marquette game helps them prepare for the talent/atmosphere.

Don't come out shook passing the ball directly out of bounds/to them for fast breaks, focus on defense and make it a rock fight (which will potentially limit the crowd), and hit some 3’s, then pray to the old gods and the new, sacrifice a chicken and practice vodoo and we have a shot.

I have really been impressed with Jalen's progress, so maybe he can be a tough match up inside. BOC is looking better, but I still wish we had a real pg. Defensively, we are strong. Please guys, limit the turnovers and Maddox and Anderson both get hot, you never know.
