Maybe my complaint with Mar’s game is he is not even close to the player he was as a freshman. I’d expect his play this season as a freshman and vice versa. It’s not just his shooting but the turnovers, he seems less coordinated and loses the ball, travels or falls down every time he does anything but shoot a three pointer. I’ve watched every game this year, something is off with him.
I took a look at the stats from Grayer's sophomore season, because I remember he started the year with a pretty significant shooting slump, but it was nothing like Mar's.
If Grayer's slump is any guide, he snapped out of it by conference play and ended the season on kind of a scoring tear, averaging double figures in 9 straight games, including a season high 22 points against La Salle.
Here is to hoping Mar figures it out and has a similar turnaround.
