Absolutely a possibility. Long term one of the worse possibilities for the program, but I’m getting torn what is worse, an extension then firing or lame ducking then letting him go.Any possibility Paulsen gets retained and not extended?

Can’t imagine Barnes would be thrilled to lose his top recruiter, but Kim flirted with SE Missouri St last year, so who knows..He’s from Baltimore and works under Rick Barnes, but you’re right I didn’t connect that dot either.
If DP gets “extended,” I wouldn’t be surprised if it’s on condition of agreeing to reduce or eliminate his buyout. So he gets the appearance of 3 more years to sell recruits, but we can also fire him at no cost if next season goes south.

Do you seriously believe that Paulsen would agree to this?
If the alternative is being terminated, sure.
Unless I’ve forgotten how to do basic math, even one more season at $750,000 > a $200,000 buyout
He has the same amount of college coaching experience that Tony has, both began in 2015. I’ll dive into some specifics a little later tonight, but his reputation has a recruiter, developer, and mentor, atleast here at Tennessee, are outstanding. He’s obviously the hot shot up and comer that we’d want. He just seems like he’s a little too new for my liking as Skinn and Knight seem to have more experience.
Anything you can share about him other than you obviously would get very excited for mason to consider him? Haha.

I understand the math. I just don't understand how they can work together if given this ultimatum.

If this is somehow true, and Kim English is a legit possibility, it’d be a dream come true.
He makes some interesting predictions. How about this one from last March:

Name to watch at JMU UC Irvine's Russell Turner
When at Hampden–Sydney he became friends with UVA AD Todd Turner. Todd is conducting the JMU search. Todd's close with Dave Odom, who Russ worked with at Wake
Please be true so we can pound his teams into the sand every year.
I’ve asked him about scheduling Mason and I never really get a straight answer, not that he owes me one. Tennessee scrimmaged Clemson a couple of years ago.Wonder why Rick Barnes couldn't or wouldn't schedule Mason at Texas or Tennessee.
I was thinking the same thing. His last parting gift.Wow...Jay Marsh might save the program.
So I’ve always wondered, is this really a thing? It makes sense to me, but I can’t think of any examples off the top of my head.If DP gets “extended,” I wouldn’t be surprised if it’s on condition of agreeing to reduce or eliminate his buyout.
