Since Paulsen inherited a disastrously unbalanced, talent-poor roster, rebuilding this program has been a methodical, systematic process.
The most glaring weakness on our roster was in the backcourt and he addressed that in the first two classes with Livingston, Grayer, Boyd, Kier and Newman. All 5 of those kids are looking like great finds and none of them had more than 2 stars.
Next on the list he added two defensive stoppers on the wing in Mar and Wilson, who will fill another need in helping defend the many athletic wings in the A-10, and another shooter with range in Greene.
As for the bigs, Dixon is obviously a miss -- it happens -- but way too early to tell on Temara and Relvao.
That said, IF we have a scholarship come open after this season, I wouldn't be shocked to see the staff pursue an experienced big man.
Doesn't mean they'll land one who fits what Dave is trying to do -- as noted, they don't grow on trees -- but our coaches are way smarter at this basketball stuff than any of us. If we see the need, I feel safe in saying they see it too.
