He mentioned that he has already spoken with an incoming recruit and will have further phone conversations later...I'm guessing Ahmad Gilbert.

Experience is a wonderful thing, hard to put a price on it. So, Paulson's address was everything you would expect from a first class coach. He didn't oversell, nor discuss the past, he talked about what it takes to build a world class organization. If the Duke coach (Mike K) were introduced you would have heard the same speech.

I felt comfortable that we have placed our program in good hands. Congrats to Paulson, he has my full support.

Paulsen absolutely won the presser. Very, very impressed.

Also I have never seen a pep band at a press conference before. Nice touch.

King David was great. After the presser he walked up into the stands to greet fans. I was a section over from where he was walking down and when he saw me standing there, he came over to me. Blewitt would have barely acknowledged me.

Great presence; seemingly very interested in the fans. Wants to build a winning culture he said several times. Wants players who want to be a part of that. I welcome this change wholeheartedly.

I was telling someone that I hope Paulsen does at Larranaga would do and go to Brion's after games and shake hands with people. Hewitt rarely ever did this.

The best part of the presser was Dr. Cabrera stating basketball is the front door of the university!

This guy is a winner! "Smart" "Disciplined" "Fundamental" and "Skilled" is the way his teams play. He is articulate and passionate and will be an ambassador for the university that we have not seen before. A great hire! Have remained silent until I heard the guy.

I am officially drinking the Paulsen coolaid. It's going to take some time but I have every confidence he's going to build a program we can all be proud of.
