I want football. But if there was a crystal ball that said we would make the tournament every year, I would choose this path too.

It seems to me the priority here is number 7. Once 7 is complete, all other items on your agenda can get done in 6 months.

I honestly don't think football is in the plans. I think that ship has sailed forever. There is such a small chance to get into an FCS conference that makes any sense within the next 25 years and why pay millions to languish in the Pioneer? (There is zero chance the CAA allows Mason as a football affiliate).

No one wants JMU. CUSA's new TV contract makes it highly unlikely that they will ever expand, even if they lose a team. Not enough money in the G5 world.

It's amazing the G5 seems to think there's an appetite for them to have their own playoff. I think people would care about that about as much as they do about the FCS championship.

This morning after JMU won the FCS NC, CBS Sports app doesn't have it as one of its top 100 sports news stories on the news feed and it is only #22 in its NCAA football section.

I can't find any mention of the game on ESPN's mobile site.

I actually don't have ESPN so I don't know how much play it is getting on TV.

This is a perfect example. We spend millions on football and the best case scenario we win a title and we aren't even in the top 100 sports stories? I'll pass.
