This feels like the old CAAZONE days of talking about more teams in tournament and more money for the conference, hoping against a one bid season.

Tonight will tell alot. If RI can go into vcu and beat them on national TV in front of 7,000 meth inspired rowdy, future dog food processing plant workers and 911 operators, then its hard to believe they will lose another game this year.

Should be a good one.

If it was anyone else other than Goff, I'd say not including St Bona's win over the Post's favorite school in DC- Maryland, was deliberate. But I like Goff so I give him the benefit of the doubt.

The "silver lining" would have been nice if we had a chance to get hot at Capital One Arena. Unfortunately, I dont think I've seen anything to give me hope that we can win 2-3 straight in DC.

Curious on everyone's thoughts on how they want URI's situationt to play out. I feel like if they run the table, or come close to it and then win the autobid and get a decent seed that it's pretty much guaranteed that Hurley leaves at the end of the year. This is probably good for us but not the A10. I don't have any real ill will towards URI so I feel like I'd rather them make a run this year and then get knocked back down a bit going into next year.

Also Hurley is annoying as shit to watch on the sideline and I want him gone.

I'd like RI to get bounced in the conference tournament just so we get 2 teams in the NCAA tournament. I fully expect Hurley to leave after this season and take the big money that awaits him elsewhere. This is bad for the conference but at looking at the class they have signed for next year I'll be happy to see it partly dismantled.
There is also part of me looking forward to Adams(probably our biggest one of our recruits we went after this year) second guess his decision when Coach Hurley leaves.

I predicted we'd go 8-10 in conference play. With 8 games to go, we are currently 4-6, meaning we'd have to go 4-4 the rest of the way to make it to 8 games. Here is our remaining schedule:

@Fordham, GW, Dayton, @LaSalle, @St Joes, UMass, @vcu, Richmond.

Most of these teams are also sitting at 4-6 or worse.

6 very winnable games depending on if we show up. Would have loved to play lasalle with their best player out but unfortunately Johnson is back

I went back and looked. I had us at 4-6 at this point and also going 8-10 in conference. We got there much different than I thought, but if we could go 4-4 the rest of the way, I would be pretty pleased.

Would also be nice to finally beat f’ing GW.

Good point, I'm sure the players and staff were huddled around the computer reading my comment about wanting to beat GW this year, and were gonna totally blow off any preparation for the Fordham game. Now, not so much.

I'm sure they will send you the game ball.

Not sure if anyone has mentioned the new 3 on 3 tournament during final four weekend for seniors who have exhausted their eligibility, but it's a crazy fun idea. Each conference puts together an all-star 3 on 3 team, and all conferences are represented:

https://www.cbssports.com/college-basketball/news/how-the-100k-3-on-3-tourney-for-college-seniors-held-at-the-final-four-will-work/

In case you're curious, I way overthought who should represent the A10. No Mason players mentioned since we don't have any graduating Seniors, but you can check it out here:

http://giantkiller.co/2018/02/05/em...-tournament-is-here-and-the-a10-needs-a-team/

The only thing I'm really bummed about is that we'll never get to see Otis and Jaire play in it since they'll be in the Final Four their senior year.
