Once again, not really getting the lack of appreciation for how much Marquise has improved from freshman to sophomore year.
Perhaps more important than the fact that he's worked his a** off to improve his jump shot is the fact that he's now willing to shoot it. As he continues to establish that he can consistently hit that pull-up 15-footer, he will be impossible to keep out of the lane.
Blaming him for our team's lack of flow, ball movement and assists is silly. He's been playing in a lousy "system" and I have no doubt he and everyone else would be much more effective in an offense with any type of fundamental structure.
Considering we have no other PGs on our roster, and have only a scoring PG coming in as a true freshman, we certainly don't need Marquise to transfer. We need to hire a coach who can teach him how to run an offense and distribute the damn ball.
