You are forgetting Tyrese Martin, a 2nd year scholarship guard. Rhode Island also will now have Georgetown transfer forward Antwan Walker who becomes eligible for their next game.
Was counting Martin as a SF not a guard, but no big deal either way.

Hewitt never had a chance. Poor guyI'd be surprised if the A-10 got more than 3 teams in, but it's possible to get 3 at-large bids if a 4th team sneaks in and takes the auto-bid (Duquesne and Mason, for instance, have zero at-large chances unless they finish 1st or 2nd, but maybe one of them takes the auto-bid).
The automatic qualifiers make the NIT a crapshoot every year.
A-10 NIT bids by year:
2019: 2 (Davidson, Dayton)
2018: 0
2017: 1 (Richmond)
2016: 3 (Bona, GW, Davidson)
2015: 2 (GW, Richmond)
2014: 0 (This is the year the A-10 had 6 NCAA tournament teams)

Or that William and Mary isn’t very good at all which seems more likely. St joes did beat a hobbled UConn team to my knowledge which is actually impressive.St. Josephs (2-9 before the game) defeated William and Mary (8-3 before the game) 84-69
Just shows that any given night in the A10 even the weak teams can surprise the good teams and get the win

95-100 in what? Strength of schedule? From doing the math, beating TCU will only put us around 95-100 which means we have A LOT of work to do in A10 play. We will have opportunities though. Gotta beat vcu at least once and hopefully beat Richmond twice plus St Louis, Duqs and RHODY once. (being realistic that we won't sweep vcu or beat Dayton). 10 + wins in conference needs to be comprised of good wins. beating GW twice and St Joe's once does almost nothing for us... losing obviously hurts.. We have a relatively medium A10 schedule with playing good teams vcu and Richmond twice while also playing bad teams GW and UMASS twice. We need Bona to be good and beat them twice to really help give us that extra push
Ken Pom rating... and SOS we will finish around 285-290 non conference I think... I like efficiency metrics and ratings so I stick with those. RPI is dead and buried and NET and Ken Pom are imperfect but I stick with Ken Pom..95-100 in what? Strength of schedule?
In NET, we're currently # 65. In RPI, it looks like we're currently # 32 (not that it matters).
Didn't Davidson get an at large last year with an SOS of #116?
Not to get ahead of ourselves:
Let's just close out the non-conference with two more wins, and we'll be in excellent shape.

2.5 pt favs against a team with 2 win team proves the point I was trying to convey. W&M is not good. 190 Ken PomVegasinsider had W&M as 2.5 pt favorites in the game. UConn had lost 8 games in a row.
Got ya. Forgot about KenPom for a minute there.Ken Pom rating... and SOS we will finish around 285-290 non conference I think... I like efficiency metrics and ratings so I stick with those. RPI is dead and buried and NET and Ken Pom are imperfect but I stick with Ken Pom..
Duquesne is #20 in NET.. should tell you all you need to know about that
We need to finish non conference with 2 wins absolutely. lets do it.. but to say we will be in excellent shape raises a question from me. In excellent shape for what exactly?
I’m not sure top 4 necessarily works. We need to beat the vcu's, Dayton’s and Richmonds of the world. In some cases twice. Task is very very tall but I’m hopeful and will continue to be even if vcu doesn’t go well on the 5thGot ya. Forgot about KenPom for a minute there.
If we finish the ooc with just 1 loss, I would say that we would be in excellent shape to earn ourselves an auto bid in conference play.
Doing so would still be a tall task and require a top 4 finish at worst, but this is already the best position we've ever been in heading to A-10 play.
I don’t think talk about A10 is super premature. Two games away and win or lose against TCU still means the same to us. Need to go top 3 in league with some big wins to even be consideredAll of this talk is great, but its premature. Right now Mason needs to be 1-0 tomorrow against UMBC, and 1-0 against TCU.
Simple as that. One game at a time.
Says every vcu and mason fan that doesn’t actually watch them play. They are pretty damn good...Really...Richmond's of the world? That's laughable. Might be better this year, but they are just like us. ALOT to prove still.

well I urge you to watch another game. the ODU game was not good. similarly if someone only saw our Navy game I would pray that they would watch anotherI watched richmond against Odu and I think they have some good players (Golden, Francis) but I still saw defensive lapses and poor shot selection amongst other things. They were lucky to get by Odu. Maybe it wasn’t their best game but I didn’t see them as that good of a team in my opinion.
