Yeah - don't see a physical forward on next years roster and it is concerning. No Thomas, Lewis, Monroe or Jenkins type. Obviously some of those guys are better than others, but you get the point. Just hope the D and guard play in general can pick it up this year.

We haven't seen much of Relvao (because it sounds like from the Towson post-game that he's still got a little bit of a knee issue) but when he was in there, he ate up a ton of space and completely altered the game (tiny sample size, I know, but he has potential as the future starting 5 in a way I don't think Temara has -- Temara looks like a pretty prototypical stretch 4 doesn't he?

I personally would like to see Temara and Jenkins on the floor together at some point.

Relvao had 2 PF's in 15 seconds of action vs. LVC.

I was impressed with his play in the Towson game.

I am asking what is our excuse to not perform well this year? Is it youth on the roster? I would say no because 40% of our roster are seniors. Is it the lack of size? Well you can point the finger at the coaching staff for not making this a recruiting emphasis. I think he clearly missed the mark on Danny Dixon. He is not a D1 player, at the very least he should have redshirted.

I am sorry everyone, you can me whatever you want, but the point is our program is progressing slower then expected. Nothing will change if everyone keeps making excuses for the slow progress.

I would say yes, actually. Yes, we start 2 seniors, and they're our best players, but we have no junior class, and a sophomore class (and, frankly, freshman class) that was built without the benefit of a full recruiting cycle (which really begins in a kids sophomore year of high school).

We have a young team, and that's only going to get worse next year.

I'm not calling you anything, you have a different idea of what is a) reasonable to expect, given the state of the program, and b) what is a sustainable, successful model of the program. That's fine. Reasonable people can disagree.

Frankly, I think this years freshman class is more talented than last years (which is to be expected, given a full year to recruit). I further think that Paulsen says the right things, and gives honest answers, which accurately manages expectations.

Has he turned the program into a winner immediately? No. We have different ideas about whether that's a reasonable expectation. I'm glad that you're passionate about the program, and I wish more people cared as much as you do. With an entire student body made up of people who care like you do, the place would be packed, and it'd be that much easier to recruit.

IMO, it hasn't been the students' support that has been disappointing so far this season.

Perhaps. I was just trying to be encouraging to the kid. Even if the students were super passionate, more couldn't hurt :D

Herndon,

We need more posters that take this approach to differences of opinion! You are a credit to these boards!
Fewer flamethrowers and more rational exposition of your views.

Cant blame the casual fan. Since the OCM left we have let them down.

I've just grown tired of the season ticket junk in general. Okay seats in the corner, low, three for 800 bucks plus a 1200 donation. 300 more if I want to get one gold pass, which is pointless.

At least we have 16 home games this year, but that's $125 a pop, esentially, to see Mt. St. Mary's, Lebanon Valley, Prarie View A&M...etc....maybe even beat us. In fact probably beat us.

I'm still confident in Paulsen, it's just the whole routine I've grown weary of. Couldn't get a stupid T-shirt vs. Towson because I only had my season ticket cards, not the stupid vouchers. Tired of Cabrera and his stupid little Euro a**. Tired of the same old Patriot Center, etc. Even the band is tiresome. Everything is too loud, from them to the new people who screech into the microphone to play stupid games at timeouts.

I paid for the tickets but I think I'm gonna take a couple years off from Patriot Center. Maybe come back in 18-19. I'll hit a few road games but just kind of over everything.

Suck a big dick, world.

I sent a tweet to Brad Edwards and Cabrera with a picture of all the empty seats saying I would attend a lot more games if tickets were 10 dollars instead of $25.

To my surprise BE sent me a private message saying I should look at the "top of the nation season tickets" because they are $9 per game. I appreciate Brad sending me a message but season tickets are not for me. Please don't jump down my throat everyone. I am still a fan! hahah. But maybe you should tweet at him and he will send you a shirt haha.

I as well struggle with the ticket prices. Between my alcoholism and drug addictions, I rarely have the disposable income needed to get to the games. I do remember when the caps were rebuilding they dropped tickets to $10 a game which was awesome because I got to go to a lot of games. I would have gone to Friday night's game but I was going to be late and couldn't justify the 25$. If it was $10 then yeah I'd have gone. But with my work schedule what it is, I'm not going to be able to make it to Fairfax until 8 each day from DC. Sad reality.

I would of figured you would be in Denver and a Millionaire by now and have your own column in High Times for inventing the Jeff Spicoli strain and would of bought us a new basketball arena by now with Cheesy Poofs, Taquitos, and Pizza for all season ticket holders!
